Financial Literacy in My life

How is everyone doing? i hope you are fine... I'm ok also only having some small details to worry about life.
its been sometime since i have written something here. Of course been busy with my new found hobby which happen to share the same interest with my wife.. Although she happen to be the one in the picture most of the time.

Other than the photography session and my miserable damage recovery for the industry, everything else seem to be very exciting. I got to thank my great friends for encouraging me and consoling me in times like this. I'm also grateful that i have them around. Last Friday was my birthday. Nothing important, no big deal thing. Practically kept it low profile so that i don't mess around too much.

Basically i got into reading again. Although i have stop reading for a while because of my laziness. But i got into reading once more. This time i picked up the Rich Dad Poor Dad book. I'm just curious why was it such a great book, that everyone who had read it or knew about it kept repeating that it is a great book. Rich and Poor dad is written by Robert Kyosaki. He talks a little bit about his life and how he has come into what he is today. Great thing is that he shares his ideas and everyone now gets to know about it. We live in an era where information is at our finger tips when we need it and also in an era where money is power and everyone is becoming rich. There are more rich people today comparing 1 century ago. In the olden days, we are confined to what we are by our parents, teaches and so on and so forth. there were no internet to share knowledge for and everything is by the books. It was the time where the form 5 exams will determine you a future or not and whether you have food on your table tonight counts on how hard you have work in the day. Life was thought. It was like that. My dad great up from a poor family. During war, everyone was poor. But my dad knew about how to plan his future. And he knew that in 40 years when he was still 20 he will need not depend on his kids to survive. Thats what i respect my dad and mom the best. They make me grew up and let me be independent. But never asked back.
Truly, i'm just barely surviving my days here. But no worries because i know a little now how to get out of it.

We all are in a system. Well i mean most of us. We grew up. When we are 5 to 6 we go to kinder-garden. All we knew was to play as hard as we can. Meanwhile the teaches will try their best to get some ABC and 123 into our brain. So we learn along as we are suppose to and we learn about numbers and words.

So when we are 7 years old we go to primary 1 to primary 6 and trying to pass all exams that were designed to makes us miserable. Exams were frightening to me. It meant that if i dont know means i get caning. I still feel like this today. Sad is that i never knew why exams were put into such a way to punish those that are less bright. We practice and practice. Memorize tables, and multiplication by heart and so on and so forth. Just for the exams. But we never asked why are you memorizing those tables. 1x1=1, 1x2=2 and so on.
I never knew why were they important, only to know if i dont know i m big trouble. Same goes for the dictation last time which i hated most. I used to remember primary 3, there was a math teacher who would give our multiply table and so on to test our brains. I sometimes and most of the times get caning from him. Those who got canned, they are considered as unlucky and stupid. If you dont get canned, means you have been practicing.
So what does the numbers mean? basically nothing today. All i know is the phobia of learning in primary school.
So in secondary school, things get worst. Because the peer pressure to be in the first class. Second class and so on. In form 3, we are being separated into Science or Arts class. Art classes were considered inferior and lower class compare to Science 1 and 2. I was in a science class, but was in the 2nd class. Science 3 was mainly for those weaker students who couldn't do add maths and had less subject. Science 1 and 2 were sought after. I think this does not happen in my school in Melaka but in the entire Malaysia.
We had accounting subject which was compulsory but was not important. Physics, Biology and Chemistry and Bahasa Melayu was suppose to be more important than accounts. Bahasa Melayu is basically the key to whether you get into the local Uni after the exams. If not just carry on and go to a private college. I wonder why does the education system force us to take a subject which they know that will be of no use in the future of Malaysians. Today, i can speak Malay very well, But i dont see how i use the Sajak and Puisi in my working life. But i struggled during my years of form 4 and 5 into this miserable subject which 90% of the time i never understood what were the person talking about.

In accounts, most people and including me took it less seriously. I thought learning accounting was a waste of ones time especially when you are going to be an engineer, doctors, programmers and so on. All highly paid professional jobs.
I paid little attention to accounts, and just merely pass during the SPM, That is because it was not useful in giving good grades in the results, It is being ignored and i used to complain that why are we studying this bloody subject. i knew Chee Teng Heng was the very few who scored the accounts A+ and did the SPM exams in just 30 mins. I had stuggled 2 hours in it and complaining why is it im doing this subject. I knew nothing about what is to come. I had no knowledge that accounting is important in our life. Probably they put there so that we learn something and hopefully it be useful in the future. And now it is really useful.

Before i came across Robert's book, i had literary no knowledge about what to plan for my future, All i knew was to make more money each year by doing what im doing right now. I know i had to invest to make the money grow. I see everyone around me do it, and got something out of it. For example my dad is one of them. But i never bothered to know about it. I was encourage by my wife to look for a better job that pays more and quit when it is no more able to pay you. that's how the brother and father does. They hope into different company and get paid better every time they changed jobs. I think they hardly invest but had invested some but failed. Thats is why my wife don't believe in Insurance, Mutual Fund, and Stocks. She said those are sure to loose money. I wonder. Then how does my father been able to have extra income even though he was working with the Government.
Not changing jobs but he has gradual increment by performance basis. How come some failed and other succeed? What are the correct stocks to buy?
Never the less i will be out there to get some. That is why i want to be financially literate. This term came from reading Rich Dad's book. I never learned them in school, and nor did my dad told me about it. I don't blame anyone but i m only ignorant about my financial education. So i made a promise to educate my sons and daughters to be financially literate and tell them what the school system is, and educate them on accounting and taxes. Why should we not pay the government. Why should we save the money and use it on our own. Thats more important than getting good grades A's all the way during secondary and tertiary education period not knowing about taxing and accounting when only they are out working get themselves trap into The RAT RACE. another term from Roberts book. I never know how to deal with all this, All i know is make more money and buy a bigger house and car. Go for more expensive holidays. I had no idea how come the rich get richer. I only knew if the rich gets richer because they have the money to invest. With the investment they get more money.
There are many things one should learn about the works of money, especially when it has got to do with everything in the life we are in today.
Working hard is no more a way of life today, working harder for a company only allows the owners or your bosses to be richer. Yes you get a raise and you get good pay, and respect. But you are still in a RAT RACE.
Its easy to get into the race, almost automatic when we start working. But it is so difficult to get out. So most of us like the majority stay and get on with it and face the fact that this is life.

How come no one tells me terms like RAT RACE, Financial Literacy and Liabilities and Assets. All i know if you want to be an accountant you need to know by heart if not just carry on what you are doing.
Now Liabilities and Assets are the 2 most important words in my mind now. And RAT RACE is what i dont want to join. But im already in one.

When i read more i know more and i want to share with you all. But first of all i want to improve my knowledge first and by understanding cash flow and assets, How i can make the column bigger.
Till then i hope you guys can pick up a Rich Dad and Poor Dad book and read it. Just for fun if you don't believe what i say, then you will be amazed by how little we know and why is it our education system is not doing. And then you will think about your children that will be in the system, What kind of future that lies in them.

best of time worst of times.

Best of times worst of times, Life is always facing its up and downs, although i try not to think of the down ones at least to keep myself moving forward like Toyota although Toyota has a major breakdown in the company.
But no one cares, people still buy Toyota cars. What is there, Honda also got recall, same with Nissan as well.

So in my life also is like toyota, honda and nissan, Although my recalls are not as serious as them but recalls that i have are quite serious saying as well, Especially when it comes to money, no one is easy on it. Everyone has a intention of getting the cheapest they can get. You see, i have been writing casually on my data which i started quite some time ago, collecting all the stupid mistakes i made and recalls i have and the things i think about this life. Not everyone will enjoy what i say, or agree to it, some may think i'm a stupid fellow that shouldn't be born in this world. Yes i struggle, still making mistakes but improving every time of it. Somehow life either hates me and make me feel like i probably shouldn't be living in this wonderful world.

as i go on with my current life, things tumble down and sometimes down down down till i feel that what the hell am i doing here. Don't you think that i should be leaving this world to allow more air for others to breathe. Somehow i find myself not be able to be like a normal person, not with the normal thinking IQ status. I somehow is below average in Life but above average when it comes to other things like philosophy, theories, technologies, astro physics. i love science. i love them so much, but i m no prover, which means useless unless you can show and prove that it is right. Imagination and brain storming i m good, but my thoughts are given to others to benefit but not on me. Whats the point right ?

So that is why you will think where in the world is there such a stupid person. Sad Sad... how come my natural born brain works in the wrong manner? Even sadder. I dream and think a lot. Sometimes thinking what the hell i'm doing here.

Well with all those ding dong and bing bang that i experience, life also does treat me well, of course not as good as some people where they are bundled with Joy, Money "loads of it", looks, well being and come with high acceptance level by society. I happen to be the none of those. I was born in a very well behave family. My dad is great, better than a lot people out there. My mum is even better. As they age they are much more open minded and leave things to us. I love them also a lot. Sometimes i wonder if they are sad when i'm not around. So i tend to come back often to visit them, At least they dont miss me so much and wondering how i'm doing. Sadly i couldn't provide them with the luxury of life like buy them new nice big cars. Give them money, loads of it, Sent them to holiday everywhere in the world, let them live a happy life. It is very unfortunate that i ended up with a mediocre life, not knowing how to make the lump sump of money. 30 years has passed i'm not even close becoming a millionaire. While some people are on their way to become one, I m still here struggling with life. Trying to get the best out of it.
I must say i respect my parents like no one else on earth is better than them. Not just they gave me my life, and built me, but they never asked back, as they know i m not capable of doing so. In this kind of situation i presume i'm much better than a lot of people out there.

I m lucky that i dont come from a broken life, but i'm not so lucky that i was not trained to be a better more cunning and packed with common sense kind of person. I wonder how do i survive in my life. Guess it is just pure pressure that kept me pushing on.

I understand now how life works. At least probably 0.00001% ~0% of it.
I discover that money is everything. Yes argue with me,." money is not everything." but it is, and our life revolves around money. Let me give you a scenario. Please open your mind and think about it.

If a person has so much of money, for example you are being given USD10 billion, your life change in an instant, you will walk up straight heads up like an army marching. You will walk like you are on top of the world. You will smile at everyone. Even the ones that hate you so much.
Your finger is like the magic wand, each and everything you point at, you will get or have it. No matter how much does it cost. Everything in our society is built in terms of making money, nothing in this world is built priceless or unique where no money can buy. Its just the right price to pay for it, to compensate for it.

you can say money cannot buy love, well by right it is not true. How come? money makes people happy. What makes people happy, by buying the things they want. So i was told this is transient happiness. I must say i cannot agree with that. How can it be true where everything you see on TV has money in it. When you buy flowers for a girl, dont you think she will be happy? she will.

Ya there are some girls that money cannot buy because they dont have the feelings for you. Hmmm .... is it true? not really, Sometime down the life of this girl she will require money as well, probably for her education? her parents medical fees. her house got on fire. so on bla bla bla... so when you are the one helping her financially dont you think she be in love with you. Yes she maybe in love with you and your money, but hey, thats the girl that you want right? And now you have her. thanks to money you have saved the day... Her parents are happy, the daughter is being taken care of financially. And there goes a happy story.

So money can buy happiness, which comes from materials, money can also buy love by providing financial support. So can money buy life? lets find out.

Can we buy life? probably yes. Yes" we all came from dust and to dust we shall return.." means that everyone has to die somehow someday. So can money buy life. think of it.. money may not buy you life but money can at least prolong your life in this devil world. Filled with materials. according to my bible. Money can make a person happy, a happy person will always live longer at least in his or her lifetime, enjoying every moment whenever he or she can. If you have watched the cartoon Up! from Walt Disney. Do you realize one thing? If the 2 love birds had the money to go overseas to where ever the person want to go. Dont you think they will be both very happy. But of course that wont give any meaning into the movie anymore.

There you go, money is power of everything, then again , money is also the devil behind a lot of bad things. For me, as long as we use it in the right manner it is a very useful tool. I love money.

Back to my life. where were we. ok, next recipe for life you need, is a working brain. Not like mine, semi working useless non functional brain. My brain works in a manner that is not useful in this life. Probably 150 years ago i be a great person or a genius, but not today. Today, we require a brain that has to think like a businessman/women. We require rocket science brain to sell a IOL, We need a super genius to operate a phaco machine. And so on and so forth. Unfortunately i m still making my Einstein brain. A little too late, but i hope it will be revealed in 10 years time.
To think of it, i have many unfortunate things happening, pissing people of. Doing crazy things. but thats isnt it what is all about? And of course you have to make people hate you so much.

My worst of times is happening now, at its best of times. Probably i had done something wrong in my pass life, Being a good person is really plain stupid, Being a cunning person that knows the twist and turns of life is much better, at least the person can avoid danger of being blame by others later.

I hope my life will improve, I think this is a really lazy way of saying things, A person should say, i will improve my life. Hope and miracles dont happen at all, Its the person and the living being that made it happen. Stop hoping now and get you butt up and change it, IF you dont like something, change it.. Don't complain about it. Just change it to suite you better.

All i want to say, is life is like a box of chocolate TM, you never know what you gonna get inside it. Forrest Gump may be stupid, which you think so, but he is not affected by his peer pressure in what every he does. So do you. What do you care about what others think of you. Just make the change for yourself. Heck if the next person dont like, either he get up to change his or keep complaining and nothing happens. And that it his problem not yours. Remember a person who is angry with you, he is the problem not you so you dont care about him. He is not happy, let him be, either he has to change himself or you to make it better for him.

Respect money at all times, as money is the key to your happiness. Manage money well it will give you long life. Most importantly, always spend time with your parents. Yes some are nagging here and there. hey, come on, they are old, they are wise, they know what is best for you, just smile at them always, as your smile will be in their heart forever and when they are no more here you will never regret that you have not done enough for them. Parents worry too much about their children, they should, as that is their most proudest possession,they want accompaniment from you, your young ones. They love to be with you, but to be with them you got to bear with their nagging. As usual, you nag your children as well, So thats how life works. We all are here for a purpose. God is not here to help you, Bear in mind you are the one that will save yourself from that falling building. Not God. You are the one that makes you life miserable, happy, wonderful, not God. So if you are like me, blaming God scolding him, don't cause he never listens to you. Then again, if you are angry at God, is your problem, so change yourself, Then you blame no one, Think of God as just a passing by leisure thing people do when there is nothing else for them to do.

Well our timeline is too short, there are too many things to do in this life rather than talk crap in office, People waste too much time talking about others during work. Why not make the times worth, make yourself useful in you life and die a happy person. Not die wondering what have i done in my entire life. Have i dont enough.

So if you have something you want to do, go ahead and do it, dont wait as you wont much chance to do it.

CNY 2010

Chinese New year is usually about Dinner, Alcohol, and Ang Pau, and friends gathering in a place meeting up with each other, saying hello, how are they getting on, how much we miss each other and so on ... bla bla bla...

But of course this one is not so much about me but about my wife's friends wedding. We all went to Damansara Palace, the restaurant is at kota Damansara area where the famous flash flood next to the Shell station the restaurant was located. It was a typical High End Chinese Restaurant, with some nice setting up. same as usual

I was seated in Table 27 as you can see here. I didnt had much chance to take some dishes but i could share with you some nice juicy duck and cha siau pictures that will make you go out now to get some..

So we had a sort of like chinese dinner style, rice. and dishes, Of course not missing the lo sang

I hope that i m right at this, as i came to know as someone told me Lo Sang originated from Malaysia, some chef had the idea of mixing some leftover ingredients after or probably before new year and thought of not wasting it and created a dish for himself so as it has become a required dish during chinese new year

So dont know when it started onwards,everyone had :Lo Sang, It can range from very expensive to cheap Rm 20.00 take away kind of Lo Sang... another word is Yee Sang. You know, Chinese people believe in what ever things you tell them as long as the things you tell them has got to do with Prosperity and happiness. Wether the Lo Sang works for you or not? no one knows, what i know is that it taste good and yearly i can look forward towards this nice dish.

Lo Sang, Dish, as you can see , its full with goodies like Salmon, sengkuang. Some red things dont know what, nice crackers. jelly fish, coriander, sliced ginger, peanuts, sesame seeds... and so on... with sauce...all mix into one nice platter like the above.....so how you eat? this is how you eat, you toss them up into the air with your chopsticks and wish what ever you want to be or have or do this year....

so the action of tossing it up is known as Lo, or mix it up.. Sang i have no idea... probably it meant raw or fresh new year...

So we had Chicken, roasted and smoked one, but no duck. probably those ducks were for peking style. The char siu was juicy although i didnt had any, but again, it looked really nice i just had to take some pictures....
Mean while i got full time using my new DSLR and had so much fun with it..... then of course im still learning so pictures were taken not like a pro but a journey becoming a pro....

After dinner, as usual and i had mention earlier that it was cum with gathering.. so it must have some night activities, as you would have guess it we head to the nearest pub... Library, newly open and packed with plenty of young people,,, cool place to hang out as long as you fall within 18 years to 40 years of age... dont know why but everyone there is young... No hanky panky in this place, pure, clean and straight forward..

Some one intended to treat us with this Scottish whiskey so i will not refuse to try it. infact ended up with 2 bottle of it.. its nice and aromatic but not as nice as my smokey 18 years highland park scotch whiskey. Who cares i get to try it out. On the rocks and with water, taste not bad but no special signature.

The whiskey glasses that we had. it was nice using my flash and diffuser which i bought a few days ago, so that i can get some nice effect with it. Like this one.. with yellow diffuser and low flash compensation. Nice yellow glow on the whiskey.

Music is loud and its a place for live band, football fanatics, great chicks who wanna have great time, this is the place to be.

So if you are one of those categories you can hang out great time here, Well we left after that, with plenty of tears and hugging and as usual bye bye, as i wanna go home and sleep...

Gong Xi Gong Xi Ni, Xin Nian Tau

Well , this coming weekend chinese all over the world will celebrate of the new year. This time it happened to be the year of the Tiger. Well to me it dont make any difference as this year and last year plus the year before was about the same. Only difference its getting better every year. Probably Im on my way into mid life that's why when you reach your mid age, your life is either ok or not ok, I'm Making mine now, and i made some promises to myself when i reach at a certain age i must achieve this and that if not im backlog in my Timeline,

So whats up in the year of the Tiger? i dont really know, all i know is Less people will get married, this year as the tiger is very fierce, Probably the old folks fear those who tied the knot this year probably will fight a lot, and wont admit defeat, Tiger mah.. Todays news, i read orang asli was bitten by tiger, cant remember if the tiger had a revenge on the orang asli,

that matter aside, besides love life, many people or philosophers around the world predicts this year will be another hectic year for the USA, as their peace will be interrupted, i wonder is that true. Lets watch and see shall we. Obama is fighting like crazy there, hope nothing happens so that no on wins. Anyway there is nothing to win, just everyone loses in a conflict of interest. Thats is what makes life so interesting.

As for me, 2010, will be an even exciting year for me as there are many upcoming projects my company plan to do for me, And i have my personal plan as well. So it will be another exciting year for me, 2009 was great and fun, a bit monotonous but overall everything was satisfying.

As for me at the moment, getting ready for chinese new year, just another year for me, Probably this year will have plenty of nice photos to share around especially with the new DSLR.

Nikon 50mm f1.8D

Well, as i said some time ago, everyone around has a DSLR, and i went to get one myself, i have been busy taking, snapping photos around, and i had some experience i wanna share. Of course i use this blog to record my journey and i want to put this DSLR story part of it,
DSLR is something where me and my wife enjoy a lot, i like playing with the camera, and my wife loves to post. of course till i become an semi expert in photo taking i will take a whole lot of her pictures,
So for the time being, my models are plants, babies, cups, pizzas, and anything under the roof. hehe

Well as you know, i got my D90 last sunday, and on monday i was playing, tuesday i was also playing till the auto focus motor fried. Why, i also dont know, play till kau kau, i think, the motor cannot take it, hahaha, anyway i was a bit disappointed, but the Manual Focus is still working, no big deal but need to do it myself,Watches

Went to melaka, and then came back to KL on Thursday and straight away went home and got my warranty card and went to Lowyat. I had went to the shop and they said i have knocked the lens that is why like that, blaming me of my rough usage, Come on, how can they say that. Because i depended on them and no idea where the service center was, i obeyed their insist of passing them the lens and letting them handle the warranty thing. So i did, and they said 2 weeks. i said, so long ah? Ya loh? what you expect. So i ask for a loan lens they say, cannot, probably i m a small fry lah, they said no policy like that. I then agreed, and surrender the lens to them.

So i had intended to go to Nikon showroom in Berjaya Times Square to ask some question and also to try out some other camera on display there. Its a show room where you can touch feel play and do things with Nikon products, and ask loads of question about Nikon.
I met with Mr Chew there, probably a curator of the center, and i had asked him about the service issue and he has told me where was the Nikon service center. Situated in Menara PKNS PJ near PJ Hilton, you cannot miss it, it is one of the tall buildings there. Nikon is on the 11th floor. So i had some chat and lesson about DSLR with Mr Chew and he loaned me a lens to play with, a high end, nano, high speed 70mm 200mm lens. cool lens. heavy, but cool, its about the speed. I didnt have moving objects so i couldnt see the difference. I then spoke with him about loaning a lens but he couldnt as it was only for the show room you can test it there but not at home. So then he asked me when did i sent the lens, i said just now. And he told me why not try my luck to sent to Nikon center and he said, Nikon should repair my lens in 3 to 5 days tops. Since Friday either the dealer or me will sent at the same time he told me why not i sent myself.
So i returned the heavy lens and rush to the dealer.

When i went back to the dealer, i asked for my lens back then the guy was puzzle. The dealer why dont want them to sent the lens? I said i wanna try sent to Nikon by myself. They said Nikon will not entertain walk in and the service is very poor, and i said, never mind let me try once and sent to Nikon, if what they say is true i will sent by them after CNY, as CNY is so near i couldn't let my camera alone with no lens. what a waste. thats the time to take photos. everyone is a model. They insisted that Nikon will not loan me a lens, which was they thought was not possible for a large company. Plus sending on my own will take ages to get it done.. But i insist that i wanna try. So after much pestering me not to take away the lens, i eventually took it away. At one point i was so into what they said i wanted to abandon my mission to Nikon. When i took the lens away they like wanna cry, like lost some sales or something, i told the nice guy, dont misunderstand, i know your service is good, but i wanna try my luck no worries. Anyway its my lens what.

Next day went to Nikon first thing in the morning and sent the lens for repair. Ok this is what Nikon front desk said. Sir your lens i think is giving trouble, probably the motor, but i will let them check all. I ask when will it be ready? They need 3 to 5 days to check it out, to see what problem and do they have a parts in stock, So i ask can she check if there do they have stock now. She said she cant, so i ask what if no stock what can they do. I need to use the camera. She said, if Nikon cannot repair in time "CNY dead line" and you need to use your camera, you can request for a loan lens. I said why not you loan me one now? She said now cannot we need to see if it really require that long, so i said ok, if thats the case i will sent in and bare for 3 to 5 days. Thats next Wednesday. Not so bad, at least if 3 to 5 days cannot i can op for loan lens, 18 55mm will do also, i dont care. anything will do. So left with less worries of no lens at all.

I did my work on Friday, and guess what. I received a SMS from Nikon saying " you Nikon service item is ready for collection.. call bla bla and collect Mon Friday 10 am to 5.30 pm, " i was like hey, what a great news. to confirm it is true i gave Nikon a call, And the lady on the phone said, yes sir your lens is ready for collection, i was like wow.. thats very very fast.

So i took my service form, put my things into the office, and then shoot straight to Nikon, Bare in mind they resolve my problem in a few hours time. I was impressed. It was all joy.
I went there, and present my service paper, and the lady who attended me this morning said, did you come this morning? i said yes, its me, So she checked and there was it. My lens, and i fitted it and test and test and test, Took a lot of pictures some included in this blog.

and was happy, signed the form and called my wife and went home, went to Setia alam park, and took photos, how joyful.

so now the question is, why does the Dealer insist me to sent it through them ? And how come they bad mouth telling me Nikon service sucks. I was wondering, were they planning something to trap me and make me pay more money? i dont know, since Nikon center is so near my office i will sent future repair by myself next, Sorry mr Dealer i don't trust you now, only to buy cheap things from you,

Were they planing to tell me that the lens cannot repair, and i spoil it due to human error and ready to charge me an amount? Were the dealers planing to do that, it makes me curious to think like that now as i was told in forum jokingly saying the dealer wants to charge me. probably what he say is true... as i keep thinking now, since after Mr Chew told me to sent on my own, Plus Nikon is ready to loan me a lens and it takes 3 to 5 days to get a service done, and not 2 weeks. which proposed by the dealer.

So i got my repair done within a few hours, Its great work for Nikon People and i respect them all time now. Once is good enough.

So what is the dealer hiding? In fact i want to Thank Mr Chew and Mr Simon for telling to sent on my own, Also thank Nikon staff for quick action.

Question is, can we trust the dealer, of course i got nothing happened but i will sent by my own next time.

Laws of Attraction

Most of you may have come across this Law, some of you may not like this law, but let me tell you, it exist.

For me, the law works, i may not have full control of the law, but it does work only i cant tell when and when will it work.

So i will just share how does the law work and hopefully you can practice it too, and benefit from it.

Introduction.
This Law exist thousands of years ago, when life existed, The only thing is that dinasours didnt knew about it so as the early ancestors. I cannot tell you when exactly human came to found it, but today the Law is out.
If you would have watch the documentary film The Secret it explains that many great human being knew about the law, and used it to benefit for themselves. Dating back to ancient times, the law was somehow being suppressed. Somehow today in the 21st century, many people are exposed to this law. With internet, and the ease of information availability.

How does this law work.

1) we have to understand our mind is a very powerful antenna. Sending information into the universe on our daily activities.

2) what we see is what we manifest. It means what ever you see is what you will get. the vision affects the signal that you sent into the universe.

3) When your desire of getting something, or achieve something, grows together with the things you see and want, the law will take into action. Feeling is important, the feeling of wanting, the urge of having it, and the feeling of happiness being able to own or experience it.

4) Then when you are about to achieve the desire you want, hurdles will come into way, and because you feel negative, "this doesn't work" then the universe says ok, you dont want it i take it away.

5) but if you continue, desiring, manifesting, and feeling confident, and work towards it, then you will achieve what ever you want. Then that is when the law of attraction works with your alignment.

In this law, the 5 statement above will lead you to achieving the law, that is if you know what i was talking about.
the law is for you to experience, then only you will know and understand why it works. Sometime it works, but sometime it doesn't. You should not worry, as time will pass and you will be able to understand this law.

So how to use this law.

1) Think about the things you want. Only the things you want. Dont think about the things you dont want.

2) speak of the things you want. your desire. and what is it that you can have.

"Eg: If you like Audi A4, talk about it. Why do you like it? Whats is the top speed? Whats the feeling if you are driving it? Can you feel the car infront of you. Can you feel yourself driving it. "

these helps to strengthen the urge and desire and manifestation of the Law, the attraction that you are sending.

3) only think positive about the things you want. You know it will work, and deep down in the heart, you will make it work, then the law will work.

I bet in life, you have plenty of friends that loves to express their problems. and the issues about the things they dont like. The always feel that their life is not fair, and why are they being treated like that. What they dont know is that they are attracting more of what they dont want. By complaining, fretting and talking to others about your problems, you intensify your problem even more. Then you will get more of what you dont want and more of that will come to you.

When you feel sad, and telling people about your problem, telling and fretting about it, Stop.!

Move a step backward, and rephrase your sentences and thinking so that you can focus on the things that you want.
By doing this you will avoid being a problem to others. So as to sent less bad signal into the universe.

So be happy, think positive on the things you want, be determined and you will get what you think you deserve. Trust me, it works

another new toy

I guees you guys will be wondering what the heck this guy, so many new things meh..

Well yes, just got this thing, nice nice, its a DSLR, and its a NIKON. Without further a do i would like to introduce you a D90, with a 18mm to 105mm kit lens. Interesting, My friend, Simon had told me that i should do with a 18mm to 200mm lens, Due to budget issue and also the price of a 18mm to 200mm lens is extremely expensive, i had to go for the kit lens.

Between D90 and 50D from Canon i felt that i was the Nikon guy, as i had one round of crash introduction in Harvey Norman last night, and also a crash course from Simon Saturday Afternoon playing with his D300 which he happened own one, Somehow everyone around us has a DSLR so i was thinking how cant i miss this thing,
we were building a computer and went to lowyat to get some HD. Along the way back we went to the camera section, they had some camera clearance sale, so i went to ask how much was D90. i was offered 4100, with kit lens and so on.
I had asked for a 200mm lens and was quoted RM 5599, so i was told that it was cheap, the lens with a VR 2 nikon ori lens, 18 200 mm was about 2500, as the body was at 3000 presumebly,
comes with a bag, tripod, UV protector, and 4 gb card and so on. interesting price

My heart went beating wanting this unit, so cheap, all new, in harvey norman i was quoted same things but at 4488 for a 18 105 lens. So expesive in Harvey Norman,

went to another shop in Lowyat, probably having the same promo. D90 was at 3899. with all those i mention,

Didnt bothered, went home, told wife, and went back to lowyat, long story short, went to the shop again, ask more question, manage to talk to some consumer using some nice camera,
Asked for their advice, 18 105 is good enough to start with, then go for 70 300mm later,

and he was also using a D90 surprise surprise, and packed with a 70 300 lens. His friend was using a 50D which was a canon.

great ppl and their advise was honest, So i went to discuss to get more things, and then said went to makan and shopping, first,

While eating, my mind was thinking to get 200mm or not, or just settle with the 105mm will do, then what to do next time, whats the upgrade, this and that, i knew that i want a D90 body, but which lens, Thats the problem, thanks to Mr Simon partly to let me know the capabilites of the 200mm lens, which in the end i felt the price to pay for a new 200mm lens, is way too expensive for my level, So i intend to get it later or straight 70 300mm later,

Finally went back to the shop again, the salesman was so glad to see me, and i had requested him to show me wide angle, 18 200mm VS 18 105, and final price bargain and goodies.,

Ultimately i got a 8 gb , tripod, camera, cleaning kit, and screen protector, and thats all, i think all in for 3900, which i paid 3978 for Credit card, which i intended to installment for 3 years or so, hey im no rich man ,, i got to go for this installment plans,

So now i own one, and thats a cool one, good enough to join the NIKON gang, haha, welcome me, all nikon users, here i come,, eh, i still new here, so only know how to tekan tekan, but dont know how to yet, so more lessons from Mr Simon next week,,,

Hifi, what kind of genre are you.

A great hifi, must come with great music, if not there wont be a purpose of the hifi, I cannot categorize myself as a serious listener, because of my habit of listening to all sorts of kinds of genre
Serious listeners are, turn off lights while listening, listen to certain kind of tracks or songs to pint point problems and performance of a system. And keep listening to the same old track till they can sing the songs backwards

Unfortunately i can sometimes listen seriously but never for long hours, i used to be a serious listener, but i got tired along the way. I got lost and tired. So i turn myself into a listener but must have the basics of great reproduction. The system must reproduce the sound which it was intended to by the musician and the recording engineer. As i had stop serious hifi for a while i went for some live performance, whether classical or live band, jazz music, club music, my friend, David told me, what hifi.... this is hifi and it is live playing right infront of you. It was a pub with a live band, IT struck my mind, well hmmm, what he say is true, Live music is live, no one talks about staging how far the singer from you, where is drum the guitar, Heck the music just came from the front and it had no such thing as a stage.

Some of the CD that i have at the moment

That kept me thinking. Sometime during my hifi journey, i had the chance to be introduced into Naim, i have never understood why naim is a kind of system that not everyone can and know how to and will appretiate a Naim system, I was amaze how naim can reproduce live band, which was what it was meant best to do, if you want to listen to chai ching on a naim, is like chai ching is having a bad day trying so sing to you,

In a live performance, bass usually overwhelms the highs. That why the drum keep thumping on your heart and trying to dislodge it from you. But thats live music.

At my mids of studies, i had some 3 months break, i took a job in KLCC selling retail items,
I was exposed to KLCC famous philharmonic ochestra the MPO, thats the very first time i had myself another live performance. I kept going for performances, like it or not, i had the chance to sit on the golden sit a long time ago, thanks to mr lai,KH with his subject classical or literature appretiation class, they had a nice big tour to MPO and there was when i had the first exposure.

David Foster, nice live performance, from the DVD, but this is pop and bass.

David Foster is really famous, he composes a lot of songs which are used in movies here and there, also for plenty of very famous singers like Celine Dion.Great album to buy, because if you like pop and live music this is the one, plus it comes pack with a DVD

Dave Brubeck, Quartet

This is Dave Brubeck, a different kind of Jazz music, its mainly music, no singing, But the beat makes you hand move while listening, very enjoyable music, some think this kind of music is very messy, Jazz is very different kind of music, Track 3 is the famous one. Ok for someone who loves jazz and likes some beat. Also suitable for night listening as well.

Manger sampler CD and Sister Drum He Xiun Tian

This 2 cds, are bass testing CD's. The manger cd has more test track, as it is a sampler CD, pricey at about RM70 now, i cant remember how much i paid, but it was not cheap also. The track has classical, jazz, vocal, bass, and more bass, try from track 11 onwards if you dont like classical, but make sure you fasten you seatbelt first before listening.
He Xiun tian is more like a monk and praying music. Some say they attract spirit if you listen to it too often. "O mi to fo.... " anyways its a great cd to test, Track 2 track 7 and last track are my favourite. the bass just keep coming, beware of track 2 and 7 as they are really bassy, wife annoyance factor, which is your wife will kill you... if you listen to those track.... "very noisy ah darling"

Mom and wife favourite CD, Chai Ching and Teresa Teng

These 2 cd's will come to the rescue if wife or mom starts scolding you. This are night listening and pint point error correction Cd's uncles loves them very much so as auntie. Because the Cd are in mandrin and plus its their taste. Uncles buy 100k system to play these 2 cd's. Just to bring Chai Ching and Teresa Teng back to life. Really, 100k system can bring Teresa Teng standing right in front of you.

Zee Avi, Local but like international

Zee Avi is kind of different, I dont really know them, but listening to her album, they are very modern, got good stuff in them and they make their own music. I dont really listen to artist who sings other people or dead people songs, unless they are dam good, but for Zee Avi i respect their status here, and i go all out to buy the ori cd, yes we hifi kaki loves ori cd, they are different.
No pirate here, all ori, plus supporting Zee Avi i hope she and her gang make more music even fancier than me and fav song Kantoi. hahahaha, i just love it, you should listen to her Kantoi song.

Zuccero, with Pavaroti inside this ablum, grand ma playing drum?

This is one album, which i dont know how it got here, probably my dad got it at a great price, I had pop in this cd curiously wondering what is it all about, in my younger serios listening years, i aviod such music. Becasue it is rock, i had the mentality that hifi not suitable for rock, because very noisy, that was the time my knowledge that was so shallow, that i m so glad im free from it now. So stupid of me to think of like that, if so today i will be under the tempurung deep down no rope can save me, thank goodness i got tired of listening too seriously and ventured into a different direction..

So what im now, im like NEO, free, i can fly,,, haha, no lah, im not that great yet, i only know what and how, but not know why...
i still cannot place great position of speakers. But at least i know what is good sound, and what i want.

So what i want.

I want idealy an all in one system, best of the best, great dynamics, superb vocal, speed and transient, hard to find but they are in the upper level expensive stuff.

But i have found one that i like, JPW mini monitor, so thats what i will stick to for the moment,

My very first Hifi Audio

Room Setup
Im glad to announce that i have officially own a hifi set, i have been looking for many months and years on a suitable setup for my room. I have one downstairs but thats for watching movies.
But this room set is different, place in my master room," current plan" so that me and my wife can spend time togather in the same room. Hifi is a kind of hobby that sometimes causes the hubby and the wife to be separated for about 7 to 6 hours when the enthusiast puts his or her ears into work. "listening to hifi," but i told my wife that i will put the setup into the master room first so that she also can be with me when i listen to music as well.

So What did i buy and why did i buy it?
I was visiting harry yesterday, like any other day, and he was installing a projector and we chit chat, spoke to some Campbell hifi kaki uncle. And then came, Mr Foo and his friend Syed. Syed was looking for something, So Mr Foo told Harry to put up the Polk audio 10b. So i told Syed very keng, bass kau kau, and you will love it.
We hooked it up and listen to some songs. I was at Harry's office desk surfing internet, not really bothered about the polk audio. Then Mr Foo asked a question, if i had visited Kl Audio Doctor Blogspot.
I said, yes, why not. So he proudly show me which was his setup, and it was Kajang Foo setup. A Ho's LS3/5A kaki. wow, what a small world. We chatted and he exchanged some info, Had a lot of chit chat. and most of all after listening to the Polk audio he ask to turn on the JPW mini monitor.

My CD player, Sony CD77ES

I was still not paying much attention about the Mini Monitor until Mr Foo, tap at my hand, eh, listen to this. So i stop and listened and when the music played, I was like Wow, Speechless, nothing that i wanted to comment, as i had nothing to comment, I was speechless..

It played so well, the bass was like i have never listen, the speed, and the vocal was like all in one package. Best of all, it was only using some cheap speaker cables, plus a simple Sansui Au 317 amp. Old amp, and Cd player was a So so Sony CD77 ES. The one i wanted to buy from Harry a long time ago, because of the 5 cd;s it can take, For my setup downstairs.

We crank the amp out loud till 12 o clock and the speaker went on, no signs of breaking down. Harry was worried it may blow the JPW mini monitor, but Mr Foo was saying, he was not worried about the speaker. Because he knew how much the speaker can handle, only thing can the amp handle the speaker. The amp will blow first before the speaker.
I was busy choosing my CD;s to test and listen to it, and i my mind was how does it sound like in this CD, this song , this track. I was Excited.

This was what i was looking for. MR Foo said, this speaker worth to buy and keep. Yes in fact it is. Because Mr Foo and his gang owns the same speaker.
So Said and Mr Foo listen and after that they went of.

JPW my Favourite MINI monitor

After they left, i told Harry's worker to pack the speaker, the amp and the cd player up, im taking it. So harry was not really surprise, but was smiling at me and told said to me, you have eventualy found what you want, I'm a fussy person, i like listening to music, plus i have many criteria in a setup if it were to pass my gold standards. I dont have space, to speakers too big are not suitable for me. Plus i fell in love with Pink Triangle Ventrical, but it needed a lot of juice to push to make it shine.
JPW Mini Monitor was different, you have some juice, it will shine, good enough. Most amazingly i get the tramendous bass response that i have never some across in so far of my hif journey.

I had made the right choice, i hope so far, and i was ennjoying the bass, treble, and vocal of the system. Fate or whatever you call it, " law of attraction"
I had Mr foo came into the shop, hooked the speaker up, not for me intentionally but im the owner now of this great small speaker.

I cannot understand how a small speaker like this can produce sound like this, so i will have to venture into understanding why a speaker can be design in such a way to reproduce such sound that can make a person so crazy

I cannot believe it, the speaker just move, plus my amp is just a sansui amp, no big deal amp, plus a vintage one, also not a 100 watter, how come this speaker so dam keng?

Langkawi, I Just Love it part 1

Deer at the free entrance animal farm

Well my pictures i think it is placed backwards, so i will just explain when you read along.
So i had a very enjoyable trip to Langkawi, very enjoyable, me and my wife just love Langkawi now. Thats because everytime we go there we get to enjoy the things we like.
The Last time we went was last year July, Stayed in Awana Resort, ok, nice and simple, cool also, Most importantly was the chocolate and the alcohol that made us kept coming back. I love to drink, not an addict buy for pleasure of my taste towards high quality spirit. Last time i had my very first Single Malt wisky, Enjoyed it very much, this time i got myself a Contreau Orange Liquour, very nice with tonic, been drinking the last 2 days already, The other nice spirit is the korean plum liquour .

Oriental Village and cable car

This time round we get to stay in Berjaya Resort Langkawi. Thats why my wife is so excited about it, i m also excited as well, as i have never stayed in a resort thats 5 bintang before. Its something of a life time experience for me, The berjaya is located in Pantai Kok somewhere west of the island, about 20 min slow drive from Airport, and 30 min to Kuah town, bring along a GPS is you have one, so that journey wont be so annoying, Langkawi is not very big but there some roads to recognise.

On the sea chalet

Our chalet is not on water, ours is located in the jungle. Where monkey and birds with insects and centipede roam. Well the jungle is really cooling, and it has the surround sound of insect and cicada sound 24 hours round, can you imagine what im trying to describe here.
Berjaya resort is really a nice cool place to go, although situated in a zon of inconvinience but spending the time there is really worth the trip. Nothing that i would like to complain about, just the food, if you have a car then it is really much easier. The kuai lo walk all the way from Berjaya for about 3 km or so to get to food, and in the dark, i think i m damm lucky to have rent a car because they probably have the slightest idea that the place is so secluded that food is difficult to find. of course i meant good cheap food, not hotel boring always the same menu food.

First night we were in Kuah so we had seafood, tiger prawn, sotong, seafood taufu, and some sort of mussel, reconmended by the chef.

Berjaya Swiming pool

The swiming pool is great, the water isnt that clean but heck, the view and layout is cool. plenty of green and plus a nice view of the hill, where the cable car is, at the background. There is a bar at the swiming pool, like most 5 bintang they serve drinks, where the kuai lo loves to drink when the soak themselves in the water. hehe, hardly see them swim, mainly peluk here and there and then relax at the bench, and read some book, most of them are obese. some are nice also, dont like that, not all of them are fat mah, but mainly fat lah.

Our chalet is 3197, situated midway into the jungle route. Its not very big, but it is very cozy, comes with a nice balcony, where you can relax and take a time out observing nature and looking at time passing by,

We had simple lunch and breakfast, but the idea came from my wife taking bread there and Ritz biscuit, with Ayam Brand tuna spread, we took 4 cans there bought in Tesco Setia Alam.
At least we get to enjoy our meals on the nice balcony,

On the second day, monkey came and infiltrate our balcony, leaving us trap inside the room. I had the sense that there were caught with the tuna smell,

Bath room is simple, like any other hotel , nothing to boast about

bedroom came with twin bed, dont ask, but they joined it in the end.,

When you are at the lobby, you have to take a shuttle bus to the chalet, its a very big resort so its kind of a long walk climbing hill to the chalet, so most of the time we take the shuttle to the lobby and to the chalet.

The ride is nice, feeling very important and like a great service to the guest, but workers there are polite and nice, and very helpful. of course we paid so much for it.

Kuah town is the same as usual we know our way in and out, i had remembered every shop position , no problem with knowing which shop had what chocolate cheaper and when are the expriry date. hehe, that small..
Eagle square, we went there at last, The last time we practically didnt go anywhere, not like a tourist, As july was raining some days, making us feeling very homely. this time January, the sun is out there cooking the skin of who ever expose themselves, like me, really hot, killing hot, but it does complement the day by having nice blue sky great for photo sessions...

volvo a new look ?

New S 60 glass center stack, with the power shift gear

Volvo, when someone hears about the name they will think that it is a ugly, boring, uncle looking and pathetic looking car. Well 10 years ago, yeah thats right. Volvo is a Sweedish auto maker that is probably the only one last surviving of its kind, Saab has unknown future but to be owned by someone, Koenigsagg if i spell it right has nothing to do with this segment, plus unless you are a fan of the Koenigs you probably never bothered Volvo, a Koenig super car cost 3 mil and more.

But things have change today in Volvo's design, making them one of the very sexy car to drive on the road, Somewhat evolve from the past and has come into the future.

The trusty old 240

Well, in the olden days, you wanna buy a safe car , buy Volvo, they are made with real metal, cause i remember in the days, ppl never die in Volvo, plus the 240 looks like a coffin, cantonese, Kun Choi che,,,, and so it does, if you ride in a 240, you are really driving a coffin....

Those were the days, boxy, boring, and ugly, girls hate them, and no one likes them, only those who bought them saw the 240 differently, The 240 has a legandary engine, until today, it still runs on the Malaysian roads, Plus it roars louder than the Merc old diesel engine,,, so like more garang the engine..... vrooonmmmmm like that,, then very powerful, at 2.4 l engine it is power...

Then came the 940 era and the 740 era, One thing i do respect a volvo car is that they top up with low compression turbo in assisting the power delievery. This is one way to improve power with a lower engine.... I think cars that come with low compression turbo are great buy cars,
like the Audi A4 1.8T, volvo s40 2.0T and so on and so on,,, mainly European cars.
It like getting 150 horses with a 1.8l engine. Its a bargain.

After the 740 and 940 came the S range which is the Sedan model, a new breed of Volvo is being born, and shapes started to evolve, The boxy ugly shape is no more there, but the coffin odd shape shape still remain in the modern or current design.
All new S80, Beautiful, can you imagine the changes it went though, But it has a dramatic change in shape and features, plus more added goodies into it, i was totally impressed with this model.
and then the future comes into Volvo, an all new outlook, with a different shape DNA all thanks to Steve Mattin, the lead designer of the new Volvo XC 60, S60 and probably this C30.

XC 60, i saw one today, infact i dont see so many of them on the roads yet altought is about 6 momths since its launch here in Malaysia. But is sure look good when you see the real one

Wondering what i was doing ?

Well, i know, some of you readers are wondering where the heck is this fellow, "mana sudah pergi."

the fact was i was traveling around, I mean in KL, although i do come home, but Tuesday, and Today, heck it was So dam tired.

Last night i got tricked by my wife wanna go up early to bed, you know go up means from the Living hall to the bedroom upstairs. She said i can Surf internet. So trade off, i went upstairs having to sacrifice my movie time for her.

So we went up, chit chat as usual and then i went on chit chating untill went to sleep, Although i had some chance to MSN with some friends online. That was for a short time.

Anyway today i made a trip to Kuala Pilah, to collect some IOL and also Payment in Seremban Jaya.

For your info, those days going to Kuala Pilah was like fast and furious 3 the drift kind of road, small, curvy and turning left and right with 180 degree u turn like kind of cornering.

You know the mountain that the leng chai bring the kuai lo to learn how to drift. Ok Han and the kuai lo, the same kind of road, good for drifting, but sure suicide, because you probably bang the back of a lorry or trailer and plunge into the deep ravine,
im not joking, it is like next to the steep slope and if any mistake in the corner you will plunge, and you only have a alloy barrier to stop you, haha, imagine that.
But fortunately the nice gomen has actually invested millions of tax payer money to upgrade the roads to kuala pilah, nice large 3 lane road, look no lorries
can speed, haha, if you have a nice powerful cars to speed, nice place to test, i hope i can drive my audi A4 here in the near future.

So lucky us now we all enjoy a nice new road, This is actually a small stretch to by pass the hilly roads. At least we see some nice roads upgrade. I feel so lucky to be able to use this road,

I wonder when will they upgrade the other side after kuala pilah to melaka, anyway i will miss the drift zone, with the lorries and trailers trying to eat your road, those will be memories only,

Back to Work,,,, 2010

Well, children has Back to school, making new young first timers parents worried about how their child is going to cope with the first days. Some took leave to be with the kids just to make sure they are ok. Some bring lunch and others hang around for a while and head off for work.

No wonder today's traffic is still good. Not much cars. Smooth sailing all the way from my house to the office.

Well remembering my very first time in Std 1 i was afraid also. i remember crying and asking to go home, but i cried alone. Probably i was not the fun type. I still remember some of my friends in the years ago were very naughty. Bully other kids and so on.

I used to be happy when i know recess time, my grand ma would bring me food from home, and then sometime my mum sometimes would bring them. My favourite was dry mee. You know the sort of like maggie mee noodle and stir fry with meat. Add some sauce. That was my favourite.

Only later when i was older only i had some income to buy some food in canteen. I had friends by then. It was fun and kind to think of it, so many years has passed, It was really great thinking back now. lining up in the line waiting to buy my karipap. Or some times the nasi lemak,
Those days, karipap was at 10 cents, each, nasi lemak was at 50 cents a plate. nasi, egg, and sambal, i remember the nasi lemak sambal was dam hot. But i ate them anyway.

First day of school in primary 2 to 6 were no more special, all the same. Same old stuff, but the very first day in school. thats the difference.

Well time passed and i grew up. In the future, i will be that parent to sent my kids to school and make sure they are comfortable. Now is my turn to be a parent in the future. I hope i can relate my story to my kids so that they dont feel so lonely and afraid.
I bet my kids will be the brave one. Haha.....

Well im not the only person that talks about food, but because this blog is about myself and usual activities so my as well just add it in, I was waiting for my wife to finish her chinese wedding dinner in Odeon Kepong Baru, i had drop her earlier so i had about 2 to 3 hours to hang around. I didnt follow because the invitation was for 1, plus i dont know anyone there and on top of that, my wife is not that close with this friend, so leave me out.

Where to go, so many kinds of food in Kepong Baru, yes yes, you may say go eat ulu yam mee lah, or go tai pai tong to eat char kuay teow, I did, just that eating alone is kind of bored, how about mc d, or KFC or Pizza hut, i was thinking why not try something that if im alone then only i can eat kind of thing....
I headed for Kepong Jusco and went there to hunt for food.
I kind of a boring person, always eat about the same food, I have had sushi king many times, but i m never bored with it,

So what to eat leh ? I love the Kodomo Bento in Sushi king and also the sotong, forgotten the Japanese name for it buy t as you can see the picture, it is 2 pieces of nice large sotong, grilled and serve with a lemon and some ginger. Yummmy

Why i love kodomo bento so much, thats because it has all my love to eat things under a bento set, i dont need the soup, but i need to have some rice, But most bento set come with rice. So ok, This one has chicken, fish, prawn, crab stick, egg, pickle radish, some beans and eggplant, potatoe croquet. and sweet potato, all in a tempura style. Talking about healthy food eating sushi

it is kind of large serving for a person to have 2 large sotong and a bento set, I took my time to finish it, no rush. Slowly savouring the meal bit by bit,
And ta da, finished most of it, rice, i ate less. I had to have it, because my wife is having nice chinese food, so i cannot loose too, i must have something nice,

So kodomo bento set available in all sushi king for 13.90 and the sotong, is 9.90 all in all 23. 000 somthing, after tax and service charge it is at 27 or so,

I had a great time, btw a guy sitting next to me kept looking at my sotong and how i ate them, looks delicious ah..... ppl also looking,,, hehe,, enjoy the food

Movie Theater Pop Corn update

Well just now my Wife was asking if i wanna have some pop corn, as she need some food to think while looking for her subtitles for some movie she have.

So mean while i took this chance to share with my readers how is it like having pop corn in your own house, no need to go to the movies.

Pop corn in the Microwave oven

So After when the popping stops you can remove the packaging, As you can see the size of the bag has increase with the pop corn inside it. If you want good results, wait for the popping sound to totally stop, the pop corns will be nicer softer and not to hard. Get a nice bowl

When you have taken it out, mind you it is pipping hot, grab a nice bowl and pour the content into the bowl. There you go, a nice bowl of pop corn

So after pouring it into the bowl you can serve it with a nice movie and make sure it is a nice one so that it goes well with the pop corn
Pop corn always come with a nice video clip, enjoy ....

So last few days i drop by Ampang Park, my mission was to look for some hifi shops that are still there, but unfortunately there isnt any one left.
so i was walking and then drop by into a CD shop, there was a auntie that took care of the shop, she was very good in entertaining customers, keep letting me try this and that.
Its been a long time that i havent got hold of a CD, original, anyway i dont buy pasar malam versions, because i believe in good recording not a cheap crap ones.
so i was looking and trying and i came across this album, Zee Avi, i knew about the album a while ago in CD rama 1 utama, they where playing that time. i wanted to get one but i didnt have the cash back then,
So whats this about, you can go to www.zeeavi.com to find out more about the singer, if you are the Norah Jones hardcore fan, then this one is a must, BTW it is retail at 34.50 so it is cheap, recording is good for a local company. At least better than 2V1G you know, the one by Maggielurva, oh thats a lot of difference. My wife is very keen on this album especially song 7, Kantoi, hehe, why? you listen then you know. Go get one, it is just Rm 34.50 what the heck.

Songs are happy, lively, and soothing, nothing boring, every single little beat makes you wanna listen to more of this singer, I think it is a group, one lead singer, a drummer and a guitar, probably the singer herself, maybe add with some bass guitar or so, the music is plain simple, but nice to listen,

I m waiting to try it out in my audio research to see if it is nice also, cant wait. So go get one yourself and dont download, buy original, support malaysian singers, espeically this one, she is good! !

What is a Hometheater with no pop corns.

I found this pop corn in Thailand, the last time i had the Lisa training, well there were a lot of things to buy, but this pop corn in a microwave oven is what i was interested. It cost 250 baht, that is about RM 25.00 for a pack of 6.
So i can enjoy 6 movies with this pack,

Last night me and my wife were watching her favourite show, a Classic movie named Matilda. you may have come across, it is writen by Roald Dahl, who had passed away some time ago. This is a very nice movie, funny and touching. you should watch it.

Roald Dahl has writen many nice books for exampl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, George Marvelous Medicine, Big Friendly Giant, Going Solo, James and the Giant Peach. The Witches,
its clasify as children books, mind you it is really entertaining, I had read my first one that is George marveleous medicine and continued reading some, but Matilda is my wife's favourite,

So back to the pop corn, very easy and convinient, all you need is a microwave oven, pop one of the pack into the microwave and then set high for 4 minutes.
Listen to the pop corn to pop pop, pop, pop, pop pop, pop, pop ..... and so on,
Stay with it, untill the popping stops. then you can take it out.

be careful, the content is steaming hot. no joke, hot, so after that pour into a bowl, mind you the smell of butter will fill your entire house, if you like butter you be please to smell it.

Most of us are used to eating pop corns in the cinema, and now you can enjoy at home, the only thing is i always eat those with caramel, this one is salty, somehow i m not use to it, kind of weird the taste. Anyhow i can enjoy my pop corn with a movie and great theater sound.
I think there is a caramel version , but at that time in Thailand they didnt have. i bet they have..
that would be perfect.

Whats up 2010

Ok i will cut the crap of, "OMG it is so fast another year " i cant believe it and bla bla bla......"
heck everyone seem to be writing about it and all the same words, Boring....

how about this, time passes not fast but at its pace, meaning everyone had 24 hours everyday, all the same, why some people have more time and some have less, and some just let it went along,
because those who had the extra time either knew how to do everything or they just left the things undone. hehe, kind of crappy right

So what;s up 2010, something exciting, for me it will sure be even more adrenaline rush in Sales, and Figures will increase even more next year, 2009 it went up and down, was down in January, went stable in February, and kept in track from March and shoot up in June and July, September came down drastic H1N1 case, many cases were cut, October picked up a little and November maintain December went down again,
Though it was not great, but it was exciting, new lens, new customers, and new attitude, of course occasionally we have complaining customers. Thats ok, it makes thing fun and something to discuss.

So what is my proudest moment in 2009, im not going to waste it not recording it down,

1) I mastered Acri Lisa, the ultimate Zeiss MFIOL implant available for you. Now im ready to talk confidently with my Doctors,
2) I manage to hit more 100% sales target compare last year, and i have much better understanding about sales target and goals, "goals! goals! its all about goals!" No goals no glory...

3) i got my dream come true, A HTPC with internet access and a full 5.1 channel system.
4) i have my walls built up, suppose i got to do my front porch with tiles, but due to sinking issues i halted the project, it will continue next year, Stage one clear, walls up, wire on the ground. now it is the motor for the auto gate and tiles to be laid.
5)Stream Classic FM and have internet in my house,
6) bring me wife for holiday, Yes
7) Law of attraction, this one is creapy, Mr Micheal Losier, Well this one is really one of my proudest of all.
8) Have this blog that you are reading, so proud of it. ( inspired by Jessica Tann )
9) Arrival of my new born nephew,
10) Lastly grow up one year older, and wiser,,, feeling more confident in life and i know what i want to do next year

Stayed At Home!!!

I cannot imagine that i have stayed home the entire day.

Of course as you all know that i had just installed my Streamyx, today and testing it out the entire day, So far so good the speed is reasonable and it is more than enough to cater for my needs at the moment.

Well the entire day, i spend by Watching one movie Transformer 1, and then surfed internet. Chatted with some friends online. Then my wife came back continue to watch movies.

After that at 6 pm my tummy was calling me, so we cooked and makan dinner. Now listening to ClassicFM (www.classicfm.com) smooth Christmas Classics , now broadcasting live from London England.

Counting down to Best Classic Music for this year.

No 2 Katerin Jenkins, now listening. haha, i wonder who is number one.

Classic FM does make me more relax, and now one of my dreams are achieve, so stream Classic FM and feed into my Hifi system and listen to great music broadcast.

Walls in front of my house

So whats up with my house
Well, it has been 2 years staying in Setia Alam and i had no walls on my front car porch. No issues here, although i can live without them using only chicken netting style kind of wiring. So i had a contractor done for me 2 walls, and make a plaster ceiling man hole on my foyer.
The foyer suffered from Mouse or Rat attack, consistenly using my plaster ceiling as their play ground and shit as they like.
After opening the hole it was totally terrible,. It smelled like "Kandang Ayam" explained the indonesian worker. So i had him find the hole and then fixed up some metal wires arround the so called affected area. Afterthat had him place some plaster layer to cover up the stains and smell.
now after one coating of paint and plaster, still has some stain at various affected corners. Next few days they will come put another coating of paint again to cover totally.
Walls has a concrete beam so it is actually hanging and not resting on the floor. It is not easy making a good wall, but it takes a lot of work and effort to make one. It looks easy but the skill required to make a good one is important,
My wall will be ready by this weekend with paint and cleaning up.
My next mission is next year will be Auto Gate and tiles for my porch. Yeah!

What a wet road

Well these few days the weather is kind of dodgy, nice and shine in the morning, then thunder storms in the afternoon, sometimes freak storms in the evening, very common in PJ and Subang area. Yesterday while coming back from Melaka was no acception, somewhere along Rembau zone, the rain was freaky heavy. Before that i had a BMW 7 series tailing me that i let him over take me. What the heck he is driving a such an expensive car he should speed. Not long later as we all can see the difference in the horizon, heavy rain up ahead, and i was at about 120km/h all the cars slowed down, inlcuding a very lan see vios, wanna over take me and smoke me. Damm you vios, drive so fast when got no rain, when rain come you slow down like a pussy. Use Michelin PP2 tyre lah next time. Plus the stupid vios got no sense of cutting into the middle lane because he wanted to "pa lo" move aside lah. So i had to follow him. The rain was like kind of heavy, for me im using the proper equipment so i dont doubt my performance during rain.

So we all drove through the wet weather with caution. Then later when the weather clear up there we had a traffic jam. I was wondering there must be an accident. So the impatient BMW just now had slowed down also, but he kept eating left and right to squeeze, hey cannot see got jam ah, wait lah. If you can, fly loh, i dont mind. stupid driver.
So we went on and there you go as i mentioned an accident, this one the bus had passengers inside. Probably no one died but the people inside it had a nice spin off, forget to mention, busses are also annoying, they think they got a lot of power and control and see what happen. Bang goverment property. Later kena pay saman,
We got through the bus and then later not more than 100m a jam again ,this time some cars hit each other as you can see in the picture. So in raining days, make sure use Good tyres like michelin pp2 and dont compromise. Then if you have traction control use them it helps a lot. Also if you can change the wipers, as for me i just got them changed, so i have a clear view infront of me. Well 3 accidents in less than 3 km distance. What a day. The rain really put those lan see drivers to a good lesson.

Well, i have last promised about writing about my home HIFi setup in my Home place. So here it is for me to share with you what i m enjoying when i go back home.

This is my old home setup

I went through a lot in my home setup, we started with sound stage pre and power amps bought from Tong Lee many years ago. Since then there many improvements done on the system and tonnes of money spent on improving sound so that the satisfaction is guarantee. Lately in 2009 we purchase or my dad purchased, "with my help" a set of Audio Research LS7 line stage preamp and D200 mosfet power amp. Speakers and cables were from the previous setup. We have a Wire World Orbit 5 speaker cable and a Audio Quest CV4. For interconnects are Tranparent audio Wave 100, and Wireworld Polaris 5. These were the previous upgrade to improve my old slow Sound stage power amp with only 12 watt output, We had the preamp tuned up with solent Caps by tong lee, and a improves Philips 6922 tubes.
Jamo Speakers

We were running Kef Cresta 1 and upgraded to Kef Coda 70, which is in Kl with me, and mean while purchased a Jamo Concert V along the way, The Jamo was a great buy, Due to the lack of power, we never really enjoyed the capabilities of this speaker. But today, we are really showing the colours of this wonderful pair of Jamo V. Back view of how we connect the speakers

Jamo is well known for its beat, It comes with 3 drivers, 1 tweeter, 1 mids and 1 woofer firing at the back, it has a bass reflex port in the front, Rated power at 110W this speaker really sings when you push it with a very good, amp.Bass is some how sometimes depeding on the music, Overwhelming, some dont like, i personally feel hmm, cannot say, i love its beat but some bass are kind of annoying. Depending on the track,..but i have some sponge to sumbat the bass reflex port if the music is too much bass,
Thats how i tune it down, the other way, i did was to delay the bass using my audio quest CV4 cable.

Talking about music reproduction. Since the day of the ARC, the Jamo performed in a way that when you listen to any music it just sound so nice. From the bassy Chai Ching, to classical Music full symphony or Just simple plain Violin and Piano combination, it just sound so real and so lively. When the violin pulls a note, you can feel the different tone from hard to soft. Its with feeling.. Piano on the other hand performes in a way i have never enjoyed before. Its very musical. I just love how the tweeter handles the high frequencies with no problems. In my setup, you expect transient, speed and great dynamics in live music. Performance come to live. I lack live recording cd, thats probably what i need to get more in next future cd buying in KL av fest.
At the moment my test discs has always been Manger test CD, Fourplay, Kitaro, DEli Rum, Sister drums 2,Andrea Bocelli, Ein StraussFest, Cincinati Pops, Chai Ching, Timber TIS, And plenty more to mention. Cd collection just dont run out. I also tests Roy Orbinson, and retro music like Led Zepplin, Zucherro. Cant remember all of them.

My room isnt a great room to listen, not square but kind of rectangle. Bass is mainly an issue in my room but i had learn some tips and tricks around to help it, so now im in a mission to improve it even better. Back part, connection of Wire world Orbit 5 and Audio Quest CV4

Partly most of my music i listened to are mainly everything under the roof. What ever i can get i pop into it. i believe in neutrality of a system, I dont limit myself to only one kind of genre.
I listen pop, rock, classical , vocal , beat drums. anything, just to listen how it performs.

Back part of the old connections.
I dont have good power conditioning, so i will op to improve that as well, now im just using a smple PK voltage regulator, but since then i had tonnes of power cord improved the system. From MIT to DIY power cords,

New setup placement,
When i showed my setup pictures to plenty of HiFI Gurus, they tell me my old setup is floating, by just looking at the pictures.
The preamp and power amp is just a little too high. so the sound is floating. hmm, after listening it is kind of true, the vocals are sometime not focus. Floating it seems. So i was advised to place the power amp and preamp at a lower level which you can see the new setup.
After placing the amps lower, the CD player i put a weight on top of it, Sound is more solid, vocals dont move so much anymore. 3d Imaging is very much more placed with different distance.

As i was test Ikhark Perlman, I think it spell it wrongly, anyway, the new place ment has change a little compare to the previous setup, same dynamics and transient, because the there is no change to equipment, but better staging and better vocal focus.
Next tuning is to get some granite for the base of the speaker, see if the bass tightens up.
Well, thats how it looks like, but of course, every persons setup, like KL audio doctors one, has a REL stratus handling the bass. thats very very different. Mine is from the speakers, but i think im missing something compare to his setup. His is awsome. Mine is not bad either, Of course there is no competition, but which you prefer and how KL audio doctors setup sounds like. We all tune to what our liking and how can our system performs as its best on the music that we listen to. My dad always tell me, what is there to improve, i feel this setup is so nice already, anyway whats the fun if we are all stuck with what we have and not improving it. Maybe next time we can have more things to share.

Yeah, manage to finish my RON 95 that i pump the other day. Now i have finished using it. So i went to the nearest petrol station and got myself RON 97. What a relieve now, the car is back to it original state. Not a slow old car now, Pick up is so much better.

So those of you who think there is no difference. Either the car you are driving is very powerful and you dont feel the difference. Or you can tell the difference because you dont drive outstation.

Sonyman's 2009 Car Awards

So Car Bikes and Trucks (www.CBT.com.my)has announced the Peugeot 308 is the Overall car of 2009
I also would like to give my view about the cars this year that i have come across. Well of course mine has no physical awards to be given away, but for the fun of it lets have a view of what cars are available in Malaysia.

So what do you think is the best selling car of 2008? well the answer is very simple. Honda City, or Toyota Vios, both were winners, because both had great fuel efficiency, both were within RM 80k. Which most Malaysian would spend the money on. Why, probably that most Malaysian's buying price point. Malaysian Buy cars based on the price. Never on segment but always on the price. Sad Sad.
The most anticipated Car of 2009
Well the new city has a nice look unlike the old one, which was kind of weird. But anyhow it had oversell most cars in the market due to its, super efficient fuel features and great space. The nearest competitor was Vios, head to head, if you didnt buy the City, you would have bought the Vios, because you dont have a choice. If you hate both cars, prepare to spend more, or buy a P1.
When the new Vios came in, it was a little akward, due to the irregular design, the VIOS was called the Dugong. While everyone who hated the design, waited for the upcoming CITY. The Vios had improved the from the previous design, which was space, it had power, it was fast, and it was for the sales people the debate of which saved more fuel kept on. The old Vios lack the space, but it had the power, where the City Idsi model fail to deliever. Most op for VTEC engine.
Nissan too launch a mid segment model called the Latio, which had some nice toys packed into it. The Latio had the space, the luxury feeling but on the specification part, it lacks the upper limit BHP. meaning no power when you go untill certain speed. The lower torque had nice numbers. The Latio is responsive, and had nice interior. Nissan had shift their selling point into interior part of the car. If you buy the Latio, you didnt buy the looks but the luxury in the car.

So the latio as an option with a different taste. Next best option was Hyundai Elantra which was also fighting within price. You get a 2.0L with only RM93000, unfortunately, it didnt sell well. Notoriously Korean cars are not very much better than P1. So most Malaysian kept their money away from Korean made cars. Kia Spectra was not a good selling car as well, Kia kept a low profile. Till then the Malaysian roads were conquered by Vios and City.

Things start to change when the Kia forte made its appearance in America, It had a whole new look and packed with new engines. Very promising, and best of all it is in our shores, I personally loved this design, with its wonderful toys packed into it, plus the price point, at RM93800 that is a 2.0l engine, with all the features you expect in a car. The Kia Forte i forsee will be on the roads in increasing numbers by next year. Although the numbers will never beat the figures of Toyota and Honda, Malaysian are giving the Koreans a new hope in the price less than RM 100k segment. We cannot discuss on segment, as i was discussing just now, we discuss on price point, The perfect looking Forte had its first launch not took long ago and the booking numbers are rising every day, but of course it takes time for the car to prove itself how well made was it, It passed the first stage to impressed those who have felt the car and seen it, it had wowed me, and i have great respect for its designer. Peter Schreyer fomer audi designer. Good job Kia, keep the great design coming. Korean cars are notoriously famous for is poor engine, low quality plastics used, bad noise insulation. And espensive service and poor technical service from NAZA.
Hopefully the forte and NAZA reputation will improve proving that the Koreans too can help us Malaysian to enjoy our RIDE!!! hehe, i like the word.

New looks for Altis, somehow todays new design has the head light jutting out, Like the Camry, the Altis share the same kind of design, Frankly speaking, there isnt anything new between the new Altis and the old one. Almost the same in specifications, same old engine, and same old specifications, toyota just put a new body into the current Altis, thats why you dont see as many as the previous model. The New Altis has add on sequential gears, well like triptronic, still a 4 cyclinder engine with 4 gear auto, the City iVTEC has 5 gears.
Civic has no change since it launched, Only minor things like face lift, but it is still a great looking car untill today. Malaysian are still buying CIVIC because of its looks. Power and fuel efficiency. At least you get a 5 gear auto and a option of 2.0l if you are looking at this range. Within so many cars the Civic still rule the road, the Altis is just next to it.
Not forgetting Nissan with the Sylphy 2.0l Again with its price range at RM106,000. The Altis is at RM120,300 and you get a 1.8L engine but a bit more things packed into the car. Again Nissan had made the interior of the Sylphy very nice, spacious and nice toning colour, This impresses those who are looking at alternative. The Design, Sylphy share the same problem with the Latio. What is the problem with Nissan? Why the design of the cars are so weird. Come on Nissan, you can do better than that.

For the mid size most sexy looking car on the road, I give the awards to VOLVO S40 and the
Peugeot 407, European segment. The New VOLVO S40 has new improved lower specification engine. From a 2.4i engine now fitted with a 2.0L but with new Powershift as its new feature, the engine improves fuel efficiency, power shift is a twinclutch system. You dont loose power during gear shifting. the engine can be found on Mazda 3 and Ford Focus. As a parent company of VOLVO the new s 40 will share a lot of technology from the Focus. Design wise it is perfect for executive that just love nice sexy looking car. Especially this white one.

Peugeot 407 is also very very sexy. nothing much to update. but this car i was loving it a long time ago.
On the high range car segment. RM 150k and above. There is not much of a choice to choose. Accord, Camry and Mazda 6. Although there are some more cars in the market. but these 3 is what you see most on the road.

It is kind of hard to decide which is sexier. Of course the Mazda come with better quality because the car is CBU, fully imported. No Mazda is locally assemble. So i presume the quality of Mazda 6 is far better than Camry and Accord. The new Accord does look sexy, smart and elegant. The Camry on the other hand looks powerful, mascular, and meaty. The Mazda 6, is more like all the 2 cars, but very sleek and smooth, Zoom Zoom feeling. Of course which car would you choose. Depends on which fan are you, are you a Mazda Fan, Honda Hard core fan or a Camry fan, If you are neither, look somewhere else. You will find somthing. But if you still wanna go for the Jap's get the Mazda. 2.5l version.

New S80 Sexy What Can i say, VOLVO again The new S80 does impressive things. Although Merc and BMW has it all, But Lets give VOLVO a chance to win something. It is not common on our Roads. You will see one or 2 on and off KL roads. When i do see one, i just keep staring at it. It is just so sexy.

This car debute in Iron Man

Well the Audi R8 i had the chance to Molest it externaly in NAZA world, It is a super car, in line with Porches and Ferari's also Lambogini's I just love Audi design and the R8 is just one super car that really makes a person get orgasm. Meaning having a ultimate feeling when looking and touching it. Well if thats satisfaction, what is coitus with your wife or lover? Hehe , man and their weird feelings towards cars and hifi. Churning out at 414BHP for the V8 version, the Audi R8 is sure a super fast car, at RM 799,999 in NAZA show room it is sure a great car to buy. But if you are really looking into this super car. Prepare to get deaf with the sound of the engine roaring at the back of you. On the other hand the Porsche Panamera i think is probably a more comfortable car to drive and ride in, Still the same BHP at 400 BHP but costing at about 1mil. This Panamera is a real family super car. Imagine you got 3 friends would wanna enjoy the ride in your Porsche. You can bring them along, its so nice, but if it were a 911 or a R8 you can only bring one.

SEXY SUV segment
On the SUV that is on the road, the most fantastic futuristic design is the VOLVO XC 60. With its most anticipated wait, this XC or cross country. New toys like the Auto city Braking. City speed detection. This feature will make sure you dont bang the person infront of you.

The Mazda CX9 is also one SUV that deserves the respect of a luxury SUV, at its price tag of 300k. It just feel very luxury seating inside the CX9, even the BMW X5 looses out on its luxury feel, Same goes with the Audi Q7. i wonder why you should pay so much for the SUV when you can get a CX9 at less then 300k. Sadly for companies like SAAB, this is one company that will be long gone. No more in existance. If no one aqquire the company soon. If GM cant find a buyer, they will scrap this company. So sad. I just wonder why companies do this. What will happen to the future models. This is a great car, but sadly, if no one takes it. it will be in the history books.
So what car i like

Well, the most sexy of all cars for my eyes would have to be the Audi A4 B8 model, the one with the LED lights. Is is just nice size, comes with selectable drive features. Very modern design. Packed with nice toys. Adaptive Cruise control, sensor for this and that. it seems kind of all in one package. Even the B7 model is so sexy. For this car i would aim at getting it in 5 years. By then cars will be different , more newer models will replace this one, but at least i get to drive the car i like and love so much.

What can i say this Audi A4 is breathless, and of course if i can i will drive one of these in the future.

RON 95 Why!!!!

Well, it is lunch time now, so i have just checked into the hotel in BP.

Waiting for time to pass so that the customers come back from their lunch.

Mean while just update somethings along. Journey was cool, only with a crazy big bus tailing me at the back all the way to BP.

After i overtake some lorries i zoom zoom into infinity and i dont see the bus anymore. Mana tahu, the bus also came straight on. Tailing me all the was to my destination. It was really fun but not as much fun when i was using RON 97.

I pump RON95 the last time i went to pick my wife up in the airport. Unfortunately the Petronas along the KLIA entrance dont have RON97, i think all Petronas has cut the RON97, so what the heck i tried, no choice what.

Well this is what happen with RON 95 on my 7 year old Waja Automatic, Mitsubishi engine. Well with ROM 97, i enjoy the ride, though it sucks all time, driving a P1 car. Since i'm driving it so my as well enjoy the ride. My Waja is a little different from the others, cause i had some small little improvement done on it.

So back to RON 95. Why does the gov. want us to use a less superior petrol only after so many years they introduce RON 97. RON 97 is just nice. For malaysian made cars. Especially Waja. Heavy body, low torque, low performance engine, 97 is perfect, not to say too powerful nor too little power. Just nice is the word to describe. V power is a little too volatile. you get boost, but no milage.

Now RON 95 on the other hand, you might not like it if you have not tried, especially if you drive a car mentioned above. Engine seems to be roaring a lot when over taking, and over taking is full of doubt because you are not sure is there enough power move the car faster. So thats bad.
In order to achieve the same speed at the same time. The way i drive with RON 95 cannot be achieve. Its like the car is back in the old days. I had to press so much more on the accelerator to get the same speed or pick up. SO I DOUBT i can get back the same milage with RON 95, Infact i will have more stress, hate the ride and waste more petrol and in the end, damage the engine.

See i dont see why This GOMEN will love us to use RON 95 and the minister said.
"Malaysian dont need RON 97, because it is too powerful..." Hmm what is his logic in saying that. Probably he should refrase the sentence to " Malaysian Dont deserve better Petrol because you are not paying premium for it. So We will only Provide you with RON 95. Like it or not you have no choice because you are in Malaysia" Dont you think the second sentence makes more sense.

Ya, but Malaysian Mentality, " what to do? it is like this mah, Hai ya, accept it loh" As usual our moto, Malaysia Tak Boleh... So use RON 97 although it is more expensive. And if you love your car, please do yourself a favour, life is too short. So dont waste your time. Enjoy the ride.

Can you imagine, it is coming to year end now. Just a while ago, i was still in 2008 and now 2009 is ending.
Well we always say, " time and tide waits for no men" , Life is moving at such high speed, and i just wonder how can I cope up with it, and now another year is coming.

How great if i could Freeze time and freeze them during good times. Anyway, i take my life very seriously now, because i dont want to waste it all away.

So recap back, this year i have manage to create a blog without knowing that i will write anything, but then i decided that what the heck why not put my life story into this. At least when im old. i could look back and read all those wonderful things that has happened to me, Just like my life;s milestone.

Many years i have live in this world, and i have learned so much, and yet there so much more to learn. So im looking forward next year;s projects.

This year i completed some house project. i had my HT setup nicely.
I have my wife went for holiday which she kept repeating to me in 2008. so 2009 onward i will have 2 times holiday with my wife, be it local or international.

I got myself a bluetooth headset for my handphone and also a new handphone. with is i can take pictures and place them here for you to see.

Setia Alam is now bussling with plenty of people moving in to stay.

I had my water filter installed for 1k,

And best part my dad bought a pre and power ARC amps. thats a great part. The nicer part is i came to know a friend that had open a used Hifi shop and now im enjoying it so much, i can go to a shop without the feeling of "want to buy a not. dont want to buy dont come disturb me" kind of treatment from Amcorp mall, although not every shop is like that. A&L is very nice.

I have a new born nephew this year and he is now still very cute. i miss him a lot, probably next week go back and see him

Most importantly me and my wife are very happy during this year, and i do really appretiate that. Although i work and cook and do house work, she does help around and we do the work togather. Thank you my wife.

haha forgotten, this year we cooked chicken curry in Setia Alam.

So whats my next year plan

1) Install Autogate,
2) make the wall's
3) Make RM 70000 next year , Sell 5 phaco machine Zeiss or Geuder
4) Sell 50 Acri Lisa a month by June 2010
5) i weigh 65 KG by June 2010,
6) i have 6 packs by October 2010
7) I will have a personal trainer by may 2010

Well thats for now, i know i have more i know it, but i will write down this year all my goals and weigh them with a dead line.

Biamping And wire wonder

The wonders of Hi fi audio Ever wonder what would you do with your current setup, are you satisfy? if not what will you do? well have you ever thought of Biamping your current Speaker? Or maybe strip an old Speaker cable and use a single core out of it and test if it sounds better ?

Well two boring hifi enthusiast did that the last weekend, infact they were so bored with the current system one of them decided to strip an old speaker wire cable and decided to test it in single core mode. Why would a person take so much trouble doing such stupid thing, as he was unwiding the cables, he was mentioning to his workers, "ini orang bodoh punya kerja, tapi kerja ini boleh buat wang" i wonder is that really true, but lets get on, so two crazy and boring person went on a journey and quest to find the perfect tune for the current setup.
What we wanted to do, or Harry wanted to do was to strip his old speaker cable and test it as a single core. He had no comment or idea what would it sound like but i had the impression that the bass wont be that good. Or rather loose that punch in bass. When we hooked it up, then we pop in the usual test discs shown on the first picture, silence we had, we were so surprise by the result. There was Bass, Treble and Mid's, it all sounded so nice and so smooth, no fuzzy feeling the vocal is not clear, bass muddy, or maybe some noise make a person unhappy. Infact it improved the system, Well, we were using the carver and Vincent Sp 330, Preamp was Conrad Johnson Sc 26, we put the Alchemist Audio to rest for the moment, and ran those mention amps all the time.

First up, was Polk audio Monitor series Model RTA 8T, Initially with the previous speaker cable, it was the usual sound that we had used to listen to. But it all changed when the single core untwisted cable was used. The Vocal is very prominant with sweet sounding lips which we usually dont get to listen from the normal speaker cable. With the single core, because of the energy transfer was not interrupted, that is my theory, that is why the it sounds better.
Bass on the other hand, was more than better i expected. I never knew that with only single core it can perform very well. It had punch and speed, most important it cleaned up the messy bass that we used to listen, which we were used to. Togather with the Stone, as the tuning the bass was much cleaner. Surprise to read this, dont be, So How come it sounded better? Probably the cross interference RFI was much less infact none that has reduced the amount of RFI contaminating the Signal during the transfer from Amplifier to the speaker.

The second idea was with single core, and proper contact point was achieve and probably Electrons travel in the same core has more focus energy delivery compare to multi cores. I can describe it as Using Single core, Tightens bass and tones the harshness down. Making music more soothing to the ear, We may be missing some sound, but It does sound good. Then we went on testing with the Polk Audio monitor 10, A very large Vintage kind of speaker. 1 Tweeter, 2 mid range and 1 big woofer, well not the biggest that i have listened, but big enough to make great bass, We had a little bit of a trouble with the staging and bass for the first time, but with Harry's quick thinking we solve it, by placing 2 small speaker stand below it.

After testing we call it a day, and i had dinner with Harry, so we discussed and talked then he had the idea of biamping, we discussed further what we wanted to do, we talked about using electronic cross over to biamp or triamp a system and how it can be done, I never had the idea of how this works but i had to try in order to find out, Then we called it a day and went home.the Next Day

The next day i had to get up early, cause i had a conference in Hotel Crown Plaza in Kl, I went there for half a day and went back after that, had some sleep because the night before A friend came with Boooze, and was drunk the whole night, so it was kind of a hang over for me, i needed the rest,

Went to sleep and at 430 pm I gave Harry a call, Asked him if he was doing the biamping. He said he was setting it up. Then i changed and went there. I was running in my mind how was he biamping his speakers, and how does it sound like, Soon after that i receive a SMS from Him stating > the Pink Triange sound Very Damm nice " It had a very Damm word there, this means it must sound very very good. So i told him hang on, i have some very nice CD that i brought along to test. SO Since our Single core wire had worked yesterday, Harry had spend the Noon twisting and braiding the single core into two, Before that it was messy, not nice, with Biamping, it was worst,
He did a great job,. The setup was basically using 2 power amps, and the speaker must be bi wire able. Harry had place my Beloved Pink Triangle to try first. The Carver amp and the Vincent power amps were used to Biamp the Pink Triangle speaker. Sorry no pictures for the Pink triangle, i forgot to take because it sounded so nice i didnt notice that i had to take pictures, I took some other photos. During the Time we had a guest present also. He is also a Kaki.
This was the ultimate of the Pink Triangle's performance, Because i had never listen to the sound like this before. the bass was even lower and it never suffer from insufficient power supply to the lower frequencies. The High frequency was even cleaner, much much more soothing. Since the days of the Naton Amp by C&B Company, the pink Triangle Ventrical speaker had always suffer in a certain way, when the Frequency went below certain level probably due to the Frequency Response of the Naton Power amp, of the insufficient power of the power amp to cater for High Frequency and Low Freq. But when 2 independent amps, work togatherthe Carver amp was very unique because it had 2 features most power amps dont. It had lever input, and also Line out, or output. RCA. So the connection was from the preamp to the Carver amp and Carver output to the Vincent power amp. It was very convinient. With the Lever control input, we can balance the sound level between the high level to match the low level from the Vincent Power amp. With some tuning done the sound was fantastic. It went down, way down, and the vocal was truly amazing, The speed was not compromise here also, i had my Global Beatz Track 9 tested and it was very Full filling. It was High resolution reproduction as it;s best. With small woofer that goes all the way down to 40Hz it is really amazing.
So there is it,
We had a great time listening to the Pink Triangle Ventrical, we switch to Mission and also Warfadale speakers later, till Harry Close the shop. It was really exiting as i never had done Biamping before. This was the First time, and it is a great sucess. i know, many have dont that before, but since we are experimenting on new ways to enjoy hifi, my as well do it. What the heck at the most it dont sound right,
With the idea of single core and biamping it had change how the system that we used to listen sound like. In many ways it is good, so dont throw or sell your current system yet, maybe on of these tricks can make your system sound different.

The next aim for me and Harry is to create a module speaker system, something like Uncle Vic in Setapak, that one is one system i have listen and will never forget. My respect to uncle Vic;s system.

Amazing Thailand

Zeiss Training
Well, again i'm going to Bangkok with work mates. This time is training on Premium IOL's, great, because now i have the chance to ask as much as possible on MFIOL, So we went on the Saturday evening flight and reach there in the middle of the night, went to sleep because we were all tired. Next day i went to check out the Swimming pool of the hotel, small but better than none. Had the swim and breakfast at the highest floor of the hotel. We took so much time eating breakfast that it lasted for 3 hours. By then the food in the stomach has already digest. In the afternoon we went to central world for a walk. As usual the girls will amke their way on their own. They had this world fair which is every country that participated had their products sold. So i bought a box of pop corns. I have not seen such thing in Malaysia, probably i have to open my eyes wider, because so far, i seriously havent seen pop corn in a box, Just pop into the Microwave oven then you have a pack of pop corns. great for my movie nights with my wife. Since i have a home theater, so it must come with pop corns.

First day.
first day sucks, because the weather was hot, so sat down with my boss and we chat while eating lunch and we chat a lot. after that went back to get some nap.
In the evening, we met up with Simon, It was his birthday, so he will bring us out for dinner and it will be on him
So we went opposite to have dinner. There was this huge fest on beer, Bangkok's mini december fest, the german's has october fest so the thais enjoy them in december. it is much cooler during this time of the year, i now know why they have it in december.
After many companies we went to, most were full we ended up in Chang Beer. Thailand's local beer, there is another brand Singha. that one is really good also. I think it is thai as well.

The thing now a days are so Westernised that i felt i was in another european country with yellow colour skin human, hmm, asian version of europe. So back to the story, Simon had ordered some food, finger food to be exact. And some beer. Chang Beer is kind of different, dont know how to describe but you can get them in Tesco in Malaysia, its cheap also. So the pretty girl fill us up and we enjoyed our second night. Happy BirthDay Simon !! And another year older.
Thai people like to pray, As you can see they have plenty of Deities and gods along the road and
and each god has different function. So dont simply pray to the wrong god, So that you can make sure you get the thing you want, BTW i'm no god person so i just watched and observed.
First Day Training
So on the first day of the Training, We started with Zeiss boss Steven giving his wrap up report into 10 minutes about next years Zeiss project in SEA, he had shown the report of 2009 reports and expects quite a lot next year, mainly on the surgical consumables, which is IOLS
then we had the Oscar of Opthalmology surgical Deparment goes to My company. Yeah Yeah.
so inviting the bosses of my company to come up to receive the award for best performing company for 2007, 2008 and 2009
There is it, my bosses receiving the Oscar award, nice one there.
So after receiving a award you are suppose to give a speech, i bet my boss didnt prepared his because he never expected to win this award. So spontaneously he gave the speech. It was good although a little nervous i hear,. but hey, can you give a spontaneous speech, well of course if you win the real Oscar award you should have prepared the speech and of course you are an actor so you should be able to act anytime anywhere. Great Speech. very informative too.
our hard work now is being paid off,
So we went back to the agenda that was to introduce our selves and then carry on with the traning. Well the thai team had a wholsome load of pretty looking OL's "office ladies" with nice tight office wear. i just cant stop wondering why Thai people are so thin, so beautiful and so happy and polite people, well its the food and the culture they have. They are great people and thailand has long history.

Hifi is in my blood. its like in my DNA and i cannot live without them. So to fufill my lust i went looking for any sign of a hifi shop in Central World. And indeed i found 2, One was more toward home theater, they carry Klipsh, Marantz and wonderful Epos. they had a year end sale discount so they were throwing price like almost 50%. Shit how come malaysian hifi dealers dont do that. Why they so Kiam Siap. sell half price lah, then i can own some HT amps on my own of upgrade the old one, This is really bad for the HT economy.
The hifi shop there carried the T&A brand and also Bel Canto.
well because i couldnt speak thai, i was being ignored, but i did get to listen to their only setup there, they sell a lot of CD;s so much of them. Well no pictures accept for this one because they didnt allow it. Hai ya. what a waste.
Went on listening but they turn on so soft its like they are telling me to get out of i m not buying.
probably i was wrong but anyway since i didnt wanted to buy so i left listening one or 2 tracks from their T&A amps and media streamer. Nowadays media players are so common, every company is making them. And it is damm expensive, Like the T&A, it cost about 20k our money, Im not surprise because Bladieus and Naim are also in that range,
Its really happening in Central world, even though it was Monday night, it seems Christmas is already here, I do love their Ad;s because its so colourful.

We had dinner, and Steven Belanja
So on the first night of course there will be some arrangement for dinner, So we went to a place near MBK opposite of Paragon Shopping complex to a thai restaurant and had food there. Frankly speaking this was the worst thai food i have eaten in Thailand. The very best was with my parents during our holiday to Bangkok a couple of years ago. I always come to Bangkok and have good food, but this one. it is really not worth, Prawns not fresh, fish not nice, Green curry sucks, Malaysia thai restaurant also better. vege was soggy and i really didnt enjoy much.
BTW it cost RM3000 for that meal to feed a total of 30 people. Its expensive, because the food sucks.

So i we headed back to the hotel but i had a rest instead while some went for shopping, i wonder why i was so tired and lazy during this trip? Probably nothing around here interest me. Next time i must research on used HIFI items before i come here. My journey continued on with next day training and went back after that. So boring, i have got nothing exciting to tell you, I didnt buy anything but the pop corn. and some dried food.

So anyway, cut the crap,. next time i come here again, i will for sure look for a proper hifi shop, again i have to learn some thai first before embarking on a journey into overseas HIFI shopping, probably i should start with Hong Kong. Oh, i forgot to mention. The Taxi;s are very colourful here, red yellow pink green and blue, so many of them and they are all Toyota Altis, sorry no photos but if i have the chance again i will take some to show you.

Another Visit to my Hifi heaven

This week again, i get to visit my HIFI heaven in Campbell complex KL, As compared to my last visit Harry had informed me in advance that there is some nice goody amp that is waiting for me to listen to.

So i head on to Campbell Complex to see whats up with the new amps in the shop. When i went in the setup was the JBL L3 speaker, but today it is powered by the Vincent audio power amp. with the a Conrad Johnson SC26 Preamp, which came in a few days ago, sounded sweet when i first listened, played some regular CD and had a go with the JBL, some music were a little harsh, and less in vocal focal, kind of smeared a little in the center. So me and Harry Wong hooked up the Pink Triangle Ventrical Speaker, on the Vincent Power amp. hmmm,, dont seem to sound right, nothing coming out, remember my last review on the Pink Triangle, it requires 100W minimum at 11Ohm, so, so far no other Amp available in the shop can make the Pink Triangle Sing, only the Naton Power amp.

Intitial Setup , JBL L3 with vincent audio, below is Pink Triangle with conrad SC 26The pink Triangle is now known as triangle speakers, from France, never measured the woofer size but the speaker is a thin and slim looking speakers, some dont like because they will say, "this speaker no bass lah" mind the words, because you are half right, its a damn difficult to drive speakers and it dont seem bass able kind of speakers, but deep down in my heart, i knew if you can make this baby sing it will sing like you have never listened before.

Nice little setup, as you can see, the alchemist audio came as a replacement later to see if it can fit into the matching of the current one, It sounded good, but lets talk about some audio review with the conrad johnson, We had some variety test cd but the one most impressed me is Global Beatz, it is percussion and perfect for testing bass and speed of the setup, Kari Bremnes will be another favourite, and with whole lot of other good Cds, that i will mention later. First up, Global Beatz, this CD can get in Rock corner, i'm going to get one copy of my own later Ori, for sure,

Now if you can see, by comparing the JBL L3 speakers, and the Pink Triangle, the Pink Triangle Ventrical speaker seems to be a little too small in the woofer size, dont you think, i think also too, but the specification states that it does from 20Khz all the way down to 40Hz, which i think i should give it a try on bass, Mid bass, no argument, this speaker does perform very well, how about low bass? Browsing through the Global Cd i came accross track 9 which has the certain dynamicness in testing the speaker. Track 9 is fast, has the sudden slam, and perfect high pitch with plenty of instruments flying here and there, also it does some nice bass,
The sound was fantastic, the speed and dynamic of the timbre sound was fantastic, it does very tight bass. at one moment of the track 9 the music stopped and the pink triangle was like pulling the handbrakes like making a sharp turn, imagine driving a car, that was fantastic, the speed the stop and the high frequency.

Then i went for some vocal, Kari Bremnes, this is my favourite album, superb vocal, and some nice bass. The ventrical went very well performing Kari's first song, now most speakers that i have listen in the shop would have a quick little break of the vocal, when she pulls her voice high,
the Ventrical never showed any of these signs, thats because it has a round ribbon tweeter, Ribbon tweeter never suffer from high frequency, they excel in it and performs human voice perfectly,

California Audio Labs CD transport and Tube DAC, the source that we have been using, I hope to see the Almarro that will be arriving soon,

the Setup as i calculated was very close to 8.8K which was infact a nice number but with fantastic sound, Although it is used but the system sounds fantastic, It is all about matching the system.
We tried also on Snow Rose, mainly vocal and guitar, it is fine and perfect but i had listened this on a Ongaku before, so that was much different from this one, This has a bit hollow in terms of vocal and space, making it somehow the Valves are much better in performing vocal, especially 300B tubes. Single ended with high dB speakers.

Alchemist audio, preamp, was somehow a bit different from the SC26, although not much sigfinicant difference but it was kind of different in its staging and vocal, Bass wise, its pretty much the same. I later pop in some pop music from Arron Nevile and Tracy Chapman, it was not as satisfying in the Ventrical compare to JBL and Infinity. Thats because the bass doesnt come in like it suppose to be. Its funny that somehow other music the Ventrical shine so well and impresses those who listen to it, but somehow the modern pop songs it dont serve it well.

I then pop in Hotel California, it was ok, but as i was saying, you dont get that bass that you know how the music sound like, remember i was telling you the bass for some music was fantastic, but in hotel california it failed, i probably think these kind of music a small speaker like that would not be able to perform. Harry said that the room was a little too big for the speaker but it were to be in a smaller room it would do very musch better.
Some how, if you want great bass, you still need a nice large woofer.

I didnt quit there, moved the Ventrical back against the wall, bass improved, but i realise one thing the imaging had blured and no more, sad sad, i had the bass improved but i removed the imaging,
So i had it moved back to its original position and the bass was gone, I have to learn speaker positioning, it is really important because this is how sound is reflected, how you can improve bass impact, and staging.

Time was not on my side but today i had had a very wonderful time with Harry exchanging knowledge about hifi and how we can improve better, hopefully the next shipment will have plenty more to play with.

Then and then is the Ventrical a worth buy? my answer, if you have the power like 350 Watter you can, take it to Symphony Classic audio and see if it matches the speakers. You will be impressed if you have so much power it can only drive a small speaker like this, but if your amp makes the Ventrical sing, you may fall in love with the Ventrical.

Im one of them, but only if the Naton had much better vocal performance it would be a total package, Classical Music, Music, Percussion and Jazz, this setup is great to listen to. Only it lack to shine in Vocal, this reminds me of this years audio show setup the German Physiks Carbon speaker. it excels in Timbre and dynamicness of the music but vocal wise it dont do well. never like a horn or a ribbon.

Anyhow, each and every product has pros and cons, that is where the tuning comes in, Next round probably i will go to Harry's place to get some tuning gimmics to tune the setup to perform in vocal,

The ugly and hated has answered with a wake up call, a beautiful looking car

First of all i have to apologize about the pictures, yes yes is it not clear and quality is like shit,
well i took them with a camera phone in my car on a brochure, ok, how come got no nice real pictures, because i was not allowed to take them yesterday, i could have a mental memory of the car but i cannot transfer them to show you into the blog

So i knew about this beauty about 3 days ago, Sunday night i read NST cars bikes and truck, just reading and i came across this Forte, well first look, hmm very man's car, Then next look, not bad ah the backside.
Then the third look, wah got very nice goodies, then I look some more, the dashboard also i think ok lah, very nice loh, Kia mah not Mercedes or BMW, or Lexus leh, so nothing there to compare loh, but it does look good,

so i gave the article a go, so i read and read and seems good, but one thing surprises me, the price point, well how much must you pay for a 2.0L car, i mean the cheapest i ever seen so far here is Sylphy which is at RM103,000.00 thats cheaper than Civic 2.0 and Altis, so this one hmm a whooping RM93,000.00 for a 2.0L where can it be man, how is it possible, by the looks of it, the car should be about 100k above, cause firstly it has plenty of goodies some of us like, which others never bothered to provide, namely Toyota, Honda and Nissan, which indirectly means UMW, Tan Chong and Honda Malaysia,

the car Comes with 1.6 EX, 1.6SX and 2.0SX we will talk about the main feature but will compare the 2.0L, thats the best they offer. If the best can beat others then it is a steal.

So what's up with the goodies, 2.0L thats not is it has keyless entry, remember last time i was talking about in Sylphy? the key that you keep in the pocket and then press a button on the door handle and whoa lah, the car door unlocks.
Next you have push Start Stop engine buttons, well i was told you can get these goodies fixed to any of your car for about RM300 all in total, somewhere in Sunway, but how come 100k cars never bother to have when it is only like Less than a RM1k to fix goodies, Malaysian's dont deserve this kind of goodies? I think we are exploited by the 3 major Japanese car maker besides our unational car. P1 and P2.

My friend argued with me yesterday, saying Korean, has lost the market, totally, since those days and people who owned Korean Cars, cursed they never bought one. I hope that is about to change and a new wave is coming soon.
Well i took the chance to sit into the car and molested this very pretty looking car as much as i can, i mean molesting it, pushing buttons, feeling the steering and pressing this and that, sitting on the seat, can you imagine what i was doing? dont imagine,

So whats up with it,
Interior, i would say, ok, looks pretty amazing, sporty, nice plastic that feels not plastic, very solid plastic, air cond is fully auto climatic control, means like a 100k car, Sylphy don't have, only Altis, Civic does. which i think good. 1 point given to Kia Forte,
Then there is this Triptonic gear shift. hmm ok, Altis has them, Civic has shifters, same concept, then Sylphy dont need them so neutral, no extra points earn or loss.

There is also a auto matic cromic rear mirror, which means when someone high light you at the back you press this button the mirror darkens, ok not important, but a good nice feature.

Also what kind of ICE they have, no specific brand, but it comes with 6 CD changer, Ipod connector, and a USB interface for your mp3, like honda City, so i think it is sufficient, enough to cater for your current needs.

on the Steering wheel, it has control buttons, didnt paid attention to what it can control but the button sure feel good,

then the seats are ok, normal, nothing special, 2.0L you get leather. 6 airbags and fully safety eqquiped, talking about safety features, the car comes with TCS, EBD, CSC, ABS, and i think there is one more, you know the term, traction control system, electronic brake distribution, bla bla bla, every should have one. Plus 1 point for a less than 100k car for Traction control,
talking about safety, it has a active headrest for whipsplash.

downside, the engine, dont know how will it perform, but its a new generation engine and with CVT transmission, i think it should be ok, plus how expensive would it be to buy spare parts and also how long can the car last, previous korean cars gave a whole lot of problems, i dont know but was told. We hope that this one doesnt fail us, giving us a new confidence. Used price for Korean cars in out market isnt really good also, if you are looking at selling it with making less losses, dont buy this, but a Japanese car,

So who is to buy this car? Hmm, younger ppl, those who just came out working, dont want to buy a P1 or P2 but want some goodies that comes along with it, this is a perfect one, First car, and a great car, my opinion is get the 1.6 SX or the 2.0SX version , it is more worth the money,

i love this car, though i havent driven one, but on its outlook it does look good, very catchy, but untill then i cannot judge is it for me, although the price fits nicely into my catagory,

Some updates on more pictures of the meeting, I think one of the best decorated most comfortable place of all the booths, looks nice right, very comfortable to talk business, very high class, hmmm,, how come CZM cannot such thing ah,, always simple one, maybe drug company make tonnes more money compare to equipment seller.

Thats the CZM booth, some very expensive equipment around, and most importantly Miss Acri Lisa poster, well i think Lisa is one of the very best MFIOL you can get in the market, no doubt about that for the moment, period.

the Return of RO

Well i was just speaking to a leng lui last week, talking about where is RO, and a lot of ppl was also asking, including me, and here i bring you the return of RO.

RO was my former cheque writer, he has his own ways of managing people, some dont like and some like, i personally dont like his management style, but he was above me long time ago, i dont really know what happen to him but he is sure standing here the last 2 days and here to lead a dying company thats loosing focus,

no details on the reason he left but it was a amazing story. i got no details, and now his lines are "i'm back" hmm like arrnie, in T1 and T2 he is like arnie also, only thinking and more smooth,

i said hi to him but i really do respect him as a different kind of management style which does not suit me, but he loves ppl who wears skirt, never seen him likes ppl who cannot wear skirt,

well anyway welcome back RO and i wish all the best to him, i'm happy where i'm now and i just love it, love the business, and i wanna thank you for all the things you have said to me, and told me and screw me, and i have woken up and now i can face a better future,

"it aint over till it is really over" i thought the after the meeting i would be a bit more relax, but it is not really over, it was a busy weekend, but it was worth it. There were not many participants probably due to the attraction of shopping syndrome, so probably 1/3 were off to bintang road and KLCC, others came in and stayed to listen to talks, presentation and also learning new stuff,
The Eye industry is a really small one, so small all the time you see the same old faces, boring, but thats how it is. There are seldome new people and even if there is, you would be informed the next minute. Its that small.

Local meetings are usually very small and in just a few minutes you would have visited all the booths, so basically there is nothing much to see. It was fun to get along and catch up with some old pals and friends and competitor friends, and saying hi, how are you and whats up, nothing really all the same, not to brag too much about how much you have done, it sensitive, and afterthat probably some new introduction of some new machine. then thats all, most of the time if getting the delegates to come and chit chat, and get some good laugh and introduce and convince some machine specifications.

I tried to play chess with lucas, but he refuse and said he doesnt know, so i ended up playing on my own, how boring same old moves and i just gave up, because it was so boring. The chess set was really nice. Glass type. They were giving free sample of refresh tears away, you can get some next time in a eye meeting, it might be useful

The biggest of all, Alcon, probably you heard of, the Infinity vision, a nice sexy looking cataract machine, like J Lo they used to call it, the one in the back, thats transformers, looks like autobot, but it reminds me of futurama, a cartoon if you know, one of the episode bender, the robot fell in love with a robot something like that but pink in color, during their moon mission, to deliver some package. hahaha,,, big fat ugly one. i mean the robot in the cartoon, not this one, but this one, can buy you a E class, kompressor. its that expensive.

this is carl Zeiss very first Phaco machine, its a sort of a big thing for us and them Zeiss, because they are entering the surgical market, and you need a phaco machine for the surgical market, so now here we are with the new phaco machine and we hope to sell as many as we can, plus CZM has the very best technical service you can get in this country, wether it is phaco, or clinical , or the microscope, it is better off with a zeiss product. Serious, service is very important, you cannot have too long the down time, backup is important, so that the eye doctors are happy all the time.

well, it is not over till its really over, more updates later, not i got to go for stand by surgery, see what i mean by great service.

The Law of Attraction

Law of Attraction , some of you may have come across this law before, now its getting very hot, more and more people are talking about it and more and more are practicing it, its kind of a law if you believe or not, well it started 2 years ago when i was first introduced into this law and i have been trying to learn and understand about it, until today. there are much to know about it but knowing how to apply it is much more important, i want to go deep into learning this law and am doing so now. Since thousand of years ago, human has come across this law and those who knew were using it, and it seems that the law is being suppressed and not everyone has the access to it, only powerful man and women understood about the law, and how it works, and now it has been revealed. Using and understanding for a good introduction one should watch The Secret of The Law of Attraction, infact that movie is very very interesting, and it does mind blow you if you does not know about it. Everything in this world works in the basis of the Law of Attraction, you are attracting everything into your life.

so how does it happen, in the morning, i drove to work and along the way i spoke and practice about the law of attraction, and i was preaching about it, in the car to myself, and there is it, i attracted what i wanted into myself and i met a writer that wrote about the law, thats him mr Micheal Losier. Well i thought that i saw the ad somewhere in the papers.

That's me buying the book from him and he teaches the how to part, and his book it seems to be very good. at least it is more affordable compare to The Secret products. and im for sure to learn something from it and for sure deepens my knowledge on this powerful Law.

Next time i will write a little some thing that i have discovered and what i understand about this law and share with you out there about this law, by the way those people in the room are going to be future preaches and certified law trainer. hmmm i also would like to be one of them. maybe next time, because im actually working the two days, and it is just this law that works and trust me, i attracted it and now im being given the chance and i took action to get what i want, i sent a signal out there to know more about the law, and here im given the chance. and i took it. talking about de ja vu, but i let you do the thinking and hopefully you and i can benefit from this knowledge.

keep wishing, and dream on the things you want, work towards it, dont loose hope and you will be given a chance and when the chance comes, dont think just grab it and dont look back, then you are practicing the law and you are attracting yourself to the things you want. And you will smile more often when everything works out, just like me in the picture

busy busy week for me!!!

This week is like no time you warm my office chair, going early to work at 7 am then coming back only at 8 pm

this is killing me, this weekend, is no usual weekend, i got to go to Renaissance hotel in KL to work on a Malaysia Singapore joint meeting, sigh.. work, but next week i be in thailand, 2 nice holiday but half work and half holiday, wheres the fun in that.

anyway i have missed my Gym session this week due to this schedule, hang on there, i be a rich man in no time, now is just the starting, and i will suceed in life,

Last night i continue to read my Rich Dad Poor Dad book, it was again , reminding me again why i need to be rich, and money work for me, hopefully when i m in my early 30's i will be a rich person, selling very very well.

To all of you who feel like wanna quit , don't quit, just do it, and you will know something will come up the moment you wanna let it go... see ya...

Nissan Sylphy 2.0

Yesterday was a really nice day, Me and my in laws, went down to Jalan Ipoh, Nissan show room to check out on the Nissan Sentra by right, and why where they looking at the Sentra, See my dad in law is looking for a new car, and they happen to find out that Nissan is giving a huge discount on the 2009 Nissan Sentra Sport model, about RM11k. Never know about the details. But i do know about a large discount on the Sentra Sport 1.6L that is about to go extinct very soon. By right it was my dad in law to buy the car, but the eldest son took the chance to grab it, well i personally think it is a good buy, only thing with Sentra, my dad owns one, a 1.8L leather interior, its really nice, but a little cramp in the rear seat. On the other hand, i took the chance to look at a couple of cars available in the show room.

since the day of its launch, i never got the chance to test drive a Sylphy 2.0, probably because of the new hot car everyone wants want, so at that time, no one bothered to let a young guy like me to take the car for a ride, now things are a little more cool down so well, they have the urge to sell and plus someone was buying a car, and thats where i took the chance to test drive this model which i longed to take it down on the road, ok, firstly talking about interior, it is super spacious, comparing to Sentra, and with its 500L boot capacity, i think it is a wonderful kind of family sedan, most importantly at 2.0L it will cost you arround RM106,000.00 after discount, price point between Honda and Toyota, Nissan probably is much cheaper, of course a cheaper car means you get less goodies that comes with it. The Singapore version would come with a Electric Seat with programmable function and also memory seating position for different keys, i presume thats the meaning from reading the website, and it has keyless Go entry, just like the 1.8L and 1.6L Latio and Latio Sport, means no need to fumble with keys when starting the engine and entering the car, just press buttons. A lot of premium cars has this kind of feature now adays,

looks wise, i leave it to you to judge, i personally dont think it look good, kind of old, and lady like car, but lets talk about the interior which i feel is much more comfortable than a lot of this C segment sedan in the market, firstly the space, it is huge, very huge, with my driving seat postion adjusted, the rear person presumebly my size could seat with no problem crossing legs, and reading news paper with ease, feels so much like a tau keh, seats are comfortable with nice fabric, leather is an option, add another RM2000.00. I felt that the finishing was perfect, with no sign of cheap plastics, everything feels very solid, nice to touch and feels it could last, like a premium car,
downside is, no steering wheel buttons to adjust audio control, 100k car no such feature ? No Xenon light, the Latio 1.8L has xenon headlight, and the center deck, hmm, king of weird design with a large hole in it, the hand brake or parking brake are nice, they are like on the padel floor, this gives more room design for the center deck, i personally feel, if a woman drives this car, ok nice and family like, but a man, the entire design concept of this car i think it was probably for a mid age lady who loves shopping, marketing and fetching children to and frow to school and tution. firstly is the gear, cool CVT system with Xtronic gear drive, no gear change, you can call it infinity number of gear, i never drove any car that is like this, it feels smooth all the way, according to the sales person, the car will feel acceleration all the way to 180km/h with no feeling of lag in gear change, it is drive by wire, and power on demand, some marketing terms i presume, let you figure it out, im no good at this, but still learning,
Consumption presumebly is at 16KM/L which is i think ok , normal, not very shining but just like any other car, althought i didnt get to drive on a highway, which i was looking forward to, but city driving this car is nice, you will feel it is very light, like drving a very luxiorious car, plus my mom in law didnt complain about the rear part after seating in the Sentra. Power on the low RPM, is good, responsive, press accelerator the car moves, no lag or drag, with 5 person on board, it just moves,

Conclusion is, if you like comfortable interior, nice finishing touch, no plastic feeling, and luxiourous feeling, you can consider this one, for its price point, i think they did it right, to segment their self properly in price point, altough they took out the goodies, but overall if you dont want those keyless thing and electronic seats, this car is fine, just for driving,
If you are looking at power, looks,features, control, and a lot of goodies, leave this out, test the other brands, then only if you cannot decide and thought of saving some money for future, consider this, or if you are buying for your wife to drive this is nice, she wont complain. i presume, and so does your kids, it easy to drive large boot space and very comfortable interior,

plus point : price, great interior finishing, Xtronic drive ( arguable), interior quality finishing, city driving, EBD, ABS, dual Airbag, super spacious boot and interior, parking brek, electric power steering, drive by wire,

downside : no traction control, No button control on steering, no triptronic shift, keyless go, Xenon lights, exterior looks( arguable), power on upper RPM, probably would not shine like Honda or Toyota, funny looking center console,

A visit to my Regular Hifi Shop

Well, as you know i happen to be a hifi Kaki, as hifi kaki's we like to go to our regular or friendly hifi shop just to drop by pay some visit and get to know some new stuff, just like any other blogger, we talk mostly of what we like most and mine happen to be Hifi,
So where is the shop? It is in Dang Wangi, a newly open hifi shop, small one, mainly dealing with used products, nice stuff here, and the owner happened to be the person who sold me a pair of pre and power Audio Research, this guy is a really nice guy, you can visit his blog at http://symphonyclassicaudio.blogspot.com/

So today, Friday the 13th, i went for a visit, as usual, this shop is in Campbell Complex, oposite Sogo and the cross junction, where the public busses meeting point, well let me get a map to show next time,

What is in our recipe today? Well because he mainly deals with used items, so we had a Audio Research SP9, as pre, Carver power amp, Naton Power amp and we tested a couple unit of speakers, Source was California Audio Labs transport tube DAC. Cables were Transparent, monster, and audio quest, couldnt remember the models, but these were the brands,

First up the setup

JBL L3 model, nice pair of speakers, great tweeter made of titanium. The speaker is being pushed by a carver TFM-15CB amp. dont really know the ratings, but the amp sure could push smoothly without trouble. The JBL performed with power, tight bass and emotion, for a speaker that is kind of old, by the looks. it does sound great, playing various kind of songs, from Vocal tracy chapman, A womens heart, to classical music, and then some classic rock, by issley brothers, then pushing the speaker to limits, testing with some china audiophile cd, it does very well, Firstly the setup was not really fantastic, Harry, who is the owner and also a kaki for many years, said the sound of tracy Chapman was not right, at that time the cables were CD to pre, Audio quest, and pre to power was transparent, it didnt sound that great. then we changed the interconnect of the CD to Pre, to a newly bought used cable, silver coated, and the bass and treble quickly show significant difference, bass was much tighter compared to audio quest.

Harry teaches a very important principle that is to achieve high fidelity in audio reproduction, one must learn the art of matching, it is important even if a equipment or setup does not match

would not sound as great or good as it was suppose to be, I as a new comer, wont have that touch in matching, due to the lack of experience and also knowledge in what is expected and how to maximise the use of available products.

This 2 way JBL L3 has a bass port at the back, and it doesnt come with spikes,

Oh by the way, i didnt take note of the speaker cables, so i wont be able to tell what brand was it, maybe i could ask Harry later, he is asleep i presume at this kind of time ,

After trying out with the JBL L3, we decided to change and test the OHM speaker

Now the sound was not as good, nothing is coming out, the Carver amp couldnt perform or push the passive woofer of the speaker . The Ohm works in a very unique way, the woofer is a pasive kind, which means no connection or any sort into a crossover, it depends on the compression of the mid range to push the woofer passively from the inside of the box. the tweeter is outside of the speaker box and it can move side to side to suite the sweet spot, Then Harry thought that the amp hasnt got enough juice to push it, and we took the Naton amp, unknown to many including both of us, but the amp does give a lot of surprises, "that one in another story next time".

Sorry forget to take pictures of those, but promise from me next time there will be more pictures of the things we test.

We hooked the Naton amp. And whoa la! the sound comes out, vocals are more prominent and bass is much tighter, with the Carver amp, the sound had no energy in it, In the Naton setup the Ohm speaker begins to shine,

We continued testing since the Naton Amp was hooked up, we took out the 11 ohm Pink Triangle Ventrical Speaker, Small, little but 11 ohm, recomended power 100 watts, which amp does 11ohm at 100 watts, this calculate to about at least 200 watts into 8 ohms to make this baby shine, The pink triangle Ventrical speaker was a headache the last time we tried it, it consumed power like no other speakers available here, even
the Allegro intergrated amp with high current
amp couldnt push this baby, maybe one day, amp

will come by and with proper matching, we will succeed in making this baby sing, its a nice speaker but it is a really difficult to push pair of speakers, the Naton power amp, presumebly a 200 watter did quite well in the pink triangle, and i respect that unknown brand amp, with its raw power, it is kind of rough, but it does make a lot of speakers perform very well, but its vocals are not as smooth as the others like the Carver for instance, and also the Parasound which we tried last week. But the Naton power amp is one amp you should not look down at.
So with the pink triangle test with the usual test CD's i could say it was a Friday 13th days worth spending in this place, Symphony Classic Audio, and i do reconmend those that are looking at used audio items, and also vintage audio could take a look at this place in Campbell complex Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My KL home setup

This is my audio setup cum Hometheater in my house in Shah Alam, simple cheap and economical, it comes with a 42 inch LCD TV, and a 5.1 channel power amp, This is the heart of the Setup. As you can see, this is the power amp im using, very rare brand in our country, Ceratec, Penta 5, you probably never heard of it before, probably you have, but you couldn't remember where you have seen it.

This is a great amp, 80 watter x 5 channels, and it is a class D amp. This powers my Kef Coda 70, which was given down to me by my dad, where he had an updated pair of speakers for himself. Will talk about that next time.

this is the picture that shows all the front setup, the right hand side is the subwoofer, cost really cheap was from my pc speaker, bought in lowyat plaza many many moons ago, i had 2 of these, but they really kick ass, only fail to give the 15 incher punch. it does the bass good and well done only missing the feel, hope to change soon, but i'm so reluctant as this subwoofer has followed me since college, that is like 8 years ago, so long still working so well,

as you can see, im more into a HTPC kind of guy, so i dont have those AVRs that you see in most ppls setup. I may go into AVR, but probably later.

As for the center channel, its the sonic gear soundbar 2000. also cheap stuff, computer in origin, but it produce real clearity in vocal and high frequency. why i bought it, thats because i was using a even more cheapo computer speakers, and this was a great improvement for it, so much better and clearer,

As for the decoder, i use a computer soundcard, this one does Dolby Digital, and DTS and it goes all the way to 7.1, bought like moons ago, and still keeping it, it is a Creative Audigy 2 ZS, it is really a kick ass soundcard which comes with a built in decoder. No software here all hardware decoding, So the souncard is my processor.
